Feel bad for upcoming player Tanisha Crasto who has to compromise. Have never seen top level countries like Japan, China, Indonesia field singles players in Doubles.

I watched half of the match between Nella Nyqvist and He Bingjiao. Although Nella lost by quite a big margin,I think she has potential,just too many errors and lack of experience. I was surprised to find out she was born in 2006. I think if Finland can develop her properly,she could be a talent but being from Finland,maybe it was hard to find people on her level to train with and that is holding her back. I didn't manage to watch the MS match but the scoreline is much closer than I expected so I think that's a promising sign for Finland too,but the male Finland player is aged 27,so its a bit late for him to become a top player compared to Nella. Don't think either is embarrassing. It's both part of the game and both is due to the opponent playing well. If I had to pick one, I'd say badminton is more "embarassing" because you can closely watch what your opponent is doing from the best "seat in the hall" and also have time to react. In football you're so close that sometimes you can't even see the ball well (because the oppoent shields it from you) and your reaction time does not exist. I'd also say you're more likely to already have momentum in a given direction in football, because there really isn't a base position you can assume as you have to follow the opponent. The consequences are also less dire: in badminton you lose the point, in football you can come back from a nutmeg with a good sprint and even if you don't, the opponent still has a lot left to do to actually score.

Yes I'm sure he is a good player, especially playing against China,I believe it's a lot of pressure and he handled it well. But I still think overall,Nella has more potential to be a top player because she started young and she has more time on her side to identify her weaknesses and improve.
