At this rate, I think Nishimoto should be the 1st choice MS for this tournament. The latter wouldn't struggle half as hard as Momota to be very honest. Against Malaysia, JPN should just field Nishimoto (might not be popular opinion, please don't bash me guys)

I'm watching Malaysia play against Egypt now..tbh although the backup players are playing, and most of them have a low world ranking they actually seem really good to me. I was surprised by Chen Tang Jie's smash,it was so powerful. Ng Tze Yong,I think he is an intelligent player,he doesn't just rely on smashing to get points,he has a lot of variety. And Qi Xuan is playing well too.

I think Malaysia has many talented players but maybe they didn't get the opportunities yet to showcase themselves. I hope BAM will give them the opportunity to take part in more tournaments later and not let them be stuck waiting for the opportunities. I definitely think they have a lot of potential.

Who is this English player?. He scores his own points whereas Kento Momota relies on his opponent's mistakes to score points.

Torjussen's world ranking isn't really representative of his performance in 2021 which has been decent, his World Tour ranking is 52 which seems more in line with the way he has been playing today

Some flashes of brilliance from Momota in Game 2. That should have given him some much-needed confidence.

Momota has always been a slow starter. I think he’s almost back to his usual self. I guess we know if/when he plays ginting or lzj

That's true as well, but at the start of the match,I saw the Egypt WS player world ranking is higher than Qi Xuan, but Qi Xuan dominated the match from start to finish. So I guess,I just feel sometimes that maybe more could be done to develop these backup players,I would like to see several pairs from Malaysia in the Top 10,not just one. If Indonesia can have Jojo and Ginting, then why Malaysia cannot, because the quality is there actually,in my opinion.

Did you see Koga play "same same" with Kevin in front the net ?

I'm not talking the skill but the mind.

I remember that Tony Gunawan said that:

Indonesian dare to play risky and Japanese just play safety.

This is the first time I see a Japanese player dare to play risky.

    "Kevin's mind"

Kevin created his school and Koga maybe is the first student of the school.

The National Badminton Federation of Russia (NBFR) is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Russia. ... The NFBR became the sole administrator for the Russia national badminton team when the Russian Badminton Federation (RBF) was dissolved by the Russian Olympic Committee in 2005.

Hmm, I think coz Russia is banned by IOC for state sponsored doping. They had to play OG by the name ROC (Russian Olympic Committee). So in Badminton, they'll be represented by their badminton federation.
