Pros almost always to play with fresh string, so they wouldnt experience 5lbs drop. At most just 1-2lbs loss for settle down.

Unless you string your racket every week, i guest no one would love the new LN1 Boost or 66 extreme coz it lose tension quite big.

Ordered a reel from abroad. Received different packaging. This one has little Li-ning logos on the string as well. [IMG]

Which shop did you order it from? Never seen that orange labelling before.

Ordered from aliexpress, from what should be a reputable shop. First thought was they sent me wrong colour and also wrong number... That one looks a bit like a seven. Anyway, wouldn't had thought it's a fake, because they would've copied old packaging. Says made in Japan too...

Don't think that's altogether true. Mybadmintonstore clearly have 'made in Japan' on the front of their purple packaging LN1 reels.

Could it simply be a new packaging?

The sets I have state: "Official Equipment Sponsor of China National Badminton Team".

Since this is not the case anymore they probably needed to change the packaging and decided to go for one that is closer to the design of the new N65. IMG_20210928_230154.jpg

Have seen it on some chinese sites, assumed it was going to replace the No.1 at first.

But according to some user reviews (translated by Google), the N65 has a harder feeling than the No.1 an its texture seems to be somewhat similar to the BG80 Power.

Some users stated that it doesn't have the high tension drop within the first few days of the No. 1 and also lower repulsion.

There also seems to be a N61, N69 and N70 too...

    Sounds completely reasonable.

Wouldn't it be great to have some sort of official online presence of a brand, where you can look up their latest product information and catalogue? We could call it "website" oder "homepage".... *sigh*...

    @Rimano
Does it have some kind scratch-off sticker with a verification code or serial number somewhere on the package?

Then I'd say you are fine. And besides - that probably would have been THE WORST made fake in BC history.

Says £70 ish on my bank statement , but think I took advantage of a sale coupon during one of the many constant sales on aliexpress. Johnny's world store, can't seem to get a link from the app. Seems to be the only place on aliexpress which sells Li-ning reels these days. In the past I've managed to get it much cheaper from other aliexpress shops.

@Rimano did you check the QR code on the back?

I wanted to buy a pair of LN shoes from Johnny's World Store before but according to several reviews these shoes were fakes...

The pricing seems reasonable though and I didn't see any reviews for other products indicating that there were more fakes

That's surprising. I was under the impression that aliexpress was really protective of it's brands and that any fakes were clearly not labelled as authentic. I.e. You can find fake Li-ning rackets but it never say Li-ning brand.

Anyway, QR code worked. You have to match up the colours.

Love using the LN1 but as soon as the tension drop starts to occur the string feels a bit dead. Will this improve with a hybrid such as GT5/LN1?

I can hardly disagree more. LN1 has proven to remain a playble feeling for a reeeeealy long time. I currently have a N9II in the bag that was strung in November 2019 that still feels very much alive and playable. The racket wasn't used that much due to Covid, but still. I don't know any other string that is just remotely comparable in that department.

I think it's just the huge drop of tension of LN1 which causes it's playability to shift, maybe not for the worse, but it is definitely different. Currently strung at 29lbs, during a tournament day it goes down A LOT in tension, and for me my consistency goes out the window. I'm sure the string is great if it holds my tension after the drop but I would rather not string my arc11 at 33lbs just to pray I dont get a mishit so it is playable for me. Also string feel is subjective, you just having a different opinion than me doesn't change my subjective opinion.

Therefore i restate my question, does the tenion drop occur as much in a hybrid with LN1?
