I guess it is understandable with all of the uncertainties because of the pandemic
But it is high time that BWF start to consider domestic schedule in their planning
Or at least coordinate with some domestic competition organizers and national bodies......

Absolutely. I imagine that some co-ordination is involved, but this probably does not centre on Germany. This is unfortunate, as this time around Germany had a credible chance of progressing past the group stage.

Well, barring any BIG upset, at least we get clearer picture who will fill the runner up position :
    Group A - THA
    Group B - TPE
    Group C - DEN
    Group D - MAS

Group C & D should be a cracker, don't think INA & JPN will win the last tie comfortably considering their more quality rivals.

With this mediocre performance he will get big trouble certainly against Lee ZJ.

If Malaysia is already through, will they even bother to play LZJ? They might just field second stringers

Ginting still have a chance vs. Antonsen. If Minions wins big, it will pump up INA’s fighting spirit. It is a bold move to let Putri ranked #136 play vs Mia ranked #12

Yea that's what I'm thinking as well, but I think the winner will get an easier draw for the quarterfinal so I think many people still expect LZJ to play. But if they field the second stringers,I think it's a good strategy also because they can save the energy for the top players for the QF if they don't use them against Japan. And the second stringers can get experience too. I'm not sure whether Japan has thought about this also.

in Sudirman cup 2019, Thailand sent "the second choices" to face Japan in the group, and they are got bronze medals that time after surpassed Korea at the knock-out round.

But I don't think Malaysia do the same. I think that Malaysian want to see Lee Jii Zia beating Momota, especially the coaches.

They like "aura media" more than "the long road".

They need something to write about so yeah I agree Malaysia might select LZJ to repeat the feat and they can talk about Momota being beaten with renewed enthusiasm.

Actually, this pandemic serves a big chance for BWF to re-schedule their tournaments' agenda and make re-alignment with the national bodies
Even though contract with Total will be difficult to adjust. I don't know if there is any adjustment in terms of tournaments in their renewed contract

Tbh,I still feel like Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen are still better than the other China MD players and they aren't even old. So I hope they can come back.

Finland player won first game against KS. Even if Srikanth loses today, he and the management won't accept that it's time for him to play IC and WT 100 events firstly to win matches against lower ranked opponents, rise up the ladder and get that much needed confidence. But no, some feel entitled. Finland player is playing good. I won't be sad if Srikanth loses. F the management. It feels BSP and KS are their darlings, why was there any need to take Sameer Verma to Sudirman Cup ?

I think it takes time to get results also. Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen had a lot of potential but maybe because they didn't win all the time, people thought they can just be replaced and the new pair can do better but it doesn't always work that way.
