Yea that's what I'm thinking as well, but I think the winner will get an easier draw for the quarterfinal so I think many people still expect LZJ to play. But if they field the second stringers,I think it's a good strategy also because they can save the energy for the top players for the QF if they don't use them against Japan. in Sudirman cup 2019, Thailand sent "the second choices" to face Japan in the group, and they are got bronze medals that time after surpassed Korea at the knock-out round. But I don't think Malaysia do the same. I think that Malaysian want to see Lee Jii Zia beating Momota, especially the coaches. They like "aura media" more than "the long road".
They need something to write about so yeah I agree Malaysia might select LZJ to repeat the feat and they can talk about Momota being beaten with renewed enthusiasm.

Finland player won first game against KS. Even if Srikanth loses today, he and the management won't accept that it's time for him to play IC and WT 100 events firstly to win matches against lower ranked opponents, rise up the ladder and get that much needed confidence.
