Wang 2nd ms is a big dissapointment. He lost both crucial matches. Anyway, only OG gold md performed well.

I guess Ahsan was just fooling around. I expect Kevin to play, covering front and let Daniel do the boom boom smash. ;)

Probably taking her time off, like all other Tokyo Silver medallists except CQC/JYF

Well, they could use her but she can't do much to move Taiwan ahead much by herself ...

Just curious, are the nations draw by random or the seeds will not meet before say quarter or semi?

Agree, but she could have played a big role in the Sudirman Cup

I have to disagree ... WCL/LY isn't there at the sudirman cup too ...
If they're relying just on CTC and TZY, that won't help much too ...

CTC is not doing so well lately.

Not saying that they would have won against Japan (or China) but they surely would have had a better chance.
Also there would have been less pressure on CTC to perform which could have helped him.

Since they won the MD against Japan, it would have come down to winning both singles (XD and WD pretty much no chance for Taipei). With a 2 - 0 lead for Taipei (MD and potentially WS by TTY), the pressure would have been on Momota and not sure if he could have handled it as well as when it was only 1 - 1...

Group winners have fixed positions in the quarter final draw reflecting the seeds in the groups. So winner of group A goes to position 1, winner of group D goes to position 8. Winners of groups B and C go to positions 3 and 6. I don't know if it is random which goes where of these two.

Each group winner draws a runner up at random, except they cannot draw the runner up from their own group.

    Hmm... yeah ...
I totally didn't think about the pressure and nerves ...
Momota hasn't been his best form too ...

If Taiwan have WCL/LY, TTY and CTC, they have a good chance of being a semi finalist at least

Phew, no chance of Jpn meeting China and ending their journey prematurely ... hehe
But INA and KOR will be a threat too

I just recognized that Taiwan didn't have head coach.

Everything goes wrong from the "chosen team" step.

Like a snake with many heads in differ directions. Every head can be dangerous but cannot move to anywhere.

This has to be the weakest Thomas cup line-up for Korea to ever be seen, remember the days when they had Lee Hyun Il, Shon Wan Ho, Lee Dong Keun, LYD, JJS, Ko/Yoo/Shin?
