Watch An Seyoung, giving Akane Y a really hard time...extraordinarily good.

Akane's amazing retrieving ability for which she's renowned for is absent today against ASY

Don't worry, the sultry Sayaka Takahashi will save the day, followed by the magical Misaki Matsutomo!

An SY practically demolishing Akane Y !!! AY looks as if she'd rather be somewhere else - what's going on with Intanon and now Akane ???

How can that be, unless Akane is injured or something, it's not like she's incapable of dealing with ASY?

If this were the Olympics, both Akane Y and, perhaps Intanon too (as she didn't look injured or unwell unless there's medical certificate to prove it, even then another player can take her place) would be charged with failing to put in their best efforts.

To rest her enough for tmr against the winner ...
or not? perhaps Yamaguchi is indeed tired ... she has been playing a lot, if I'm not wrong

    Tired, cumulative fatigue?

Then even more so for Chen Yufei who has been competing at the highest level non-stop from the Olympics to the 14-day China National Games to the Sudirman Cup and now here at the Uber Cup !

I think that's going too far. I didn't see anything suspicious about Yamaguchi's effort. She was just outplayed today.

It's a huge team event - I can't imagine Yamaguchi (or any other player) not putting in their best effort for the team

    I don't know about CYF ...
but that score is quite impossible. AY just seems tired and heavy ...
I can only guess she is feeling the fatique? or maybe its just that few days of the month, who knows LOL

Anyway, we could only guess. Jpn thinking their WD will do well.

Well, that's very subjective, just compare Akan's superhuman effort against Chen Yufei last week And her so-called effort this match with An Seyoung - they are worlds apart !

Akane simply unrecognisable, and all those uncharacteristic mistakes !

Would she be playing tomorrow's final if JPN progresses? Let's see.
