Mayu should stop bothering about the score line and focus on the game. She’s quite good when it’s not close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
With her angles and her power, Mayu should also be scoring much more from smashes. She always seems to play right into the racket of the opponents at both the right hight and direction. In that aspect she's actually incredibly precise.
Jia Yifan has gotten in great shape for the Olympics. She used to be a bit of a reliability earlier, but if this goes on for a lot longer, the first one to go physically, it will be a Japanese player.
Still don’t understand why mayu is not going for angles and slices like she did so well against Lee/shin yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Exactly but she is not using her height or power to her advantage. She’s playing safe by playing defensive and rarely smashes. She’s playing not to lose while Chen/Jia are playing to win.
If JPN actually manages to win the Uber cup, it’d make up slightly for the Olympics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Am I the only one who sees the similarities between mayu and goh v Shem. Both can be brilliant and lousy at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I gotta stop caring so much otherwise I’ll pull out the remaining few strands of what’s left on my head. *sigh*
