I am curious to know how you people feel about this tournament, because it's a very busy schedule and lots of players are retiring, mostly because they don't get any rest.

I myself need to towel down. And I have just been watching nonstop for weeks.
BTW, I did not see any Chinese player in this Yonex Paris line-up. Did they miss the registration?

I think the choice was made to miss the French open to allow players to rest

I won't watch this tournament closely. If there is interesting encounter on Saturday or Sunday, I might watch it

But at least, I am happy that the players can finally play and go on tour again

It is for the lower rank players to earn money and experience and maybe some young players to gain experience.
Nice to see players we hardly see

My God! Give Nishimoto a chance, I just need to watch him going to the third round, I don't even expect he will play the final match.

People talk much about Momota and Viktor, but nobody talk about Watanabe/Higashino.

Without Chinese players, who can stop Watagashi in French Open ?

They do, sometimes, lose randomly to other lower ranked pairs.
    e.g. Ellis/Smith, Tan/Lai, Tabeling/Piek, Gicquel/Delrue just to name a few.
While I'm confident they can win this title, it's not a 100% thing.

nobody at the moment. i am basing my prediction on the notion they do not appear to look tired to me. especially watanabe since he doesn't do double duty anymore. i'll give them a 99% chance of winning.

The French stars pulled out from this tour alongside some players Christie, Ginting, Praneeth, Vittinghus, Michelle Li, Astrup/Rasmussen, etc.

He has complicated task to clear first hurdle here and possibly slated to meet Chou TC in quarters...

None know what the precise reason about their absence but definitely they didn't miss FRA Open registration. They will be back in BWF major event end of this year

without playing MD, I think Watanabe will faster in XD.

Of course, it's not 100% for sure. But I think Higashino now is at another level.

The Chinese players have been competing in the almost 14 days lasting National Games right after the Olympics and before the Sudirman Cup.

Several players also played double duty (WYL, CYF, HDP, HBJ, HJT iirc among others) and CBA probably wants to give them a rest and prevent any more injuries from happening.

I've heard that they inject verocell vaccine (Sino pharm) and France doesn't trust verocell vaccine, so they have to quarantine for 14 days according to regulations, and so, they go home
