The unseeded Korean former world champion Ko Sung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol takes it in straight-set: 21-17, 21-19; despite the INA pair managing to lead 17-15 during the closing stage. The independent pair fully deserves the win.

Whats crazy is the korean pairs don't even train together in Korea cause they're on different teams. Minions need to regroup, the other MD pairs understand how to play the Minions better now

Even though I am not really a fan of Minions, man I am pretty sad with the looks of their current performance, honestly.
So uninspiring, so lethargic, so exhaustive.
    What happened to them, really?

Minions playing with too much emotions and pressure, imo.

They don't need to regroup, they need to be split up. their time is over.

Now just gotta wait for another choke at the world championship.

Its bad but they still reached the Final. In fact i am more to ask , what happened to Kevin. It just comedy of errors. I think its Gideon who deserves better partner.

We'll never know if its Fajar Rian that is in the Final.

Ah, you see, it's a matter that can be easily fact-checked later from the video if it's posted on youtube . But I chose to take your word for it before doing so , as I also regard you as someone civil, honest and reasonable, hence our cordiality towards each other.:):D

(Lest you think it may have to do with your feminine gender, no, some ladies here can be quite nasty, you know.)

I'm okay if they lost but the thing is that the way they lost is peculiar. Almost as if as they didn't give a sh*t from the start.

Final is good results. Just the results in Final left to be desired haha. 5 out of 32 Finals loss. Think this is the most unexpected out of the 5.

I am curious what are the factors that lead to an almost unbeatable minions (pair that won most of the major titles) during their heydays deteriorate to a comedy of errors?

Wow, Ko/Shin is the MD Champion. Congratulations.

It's a demonstration of how good the previous generation can be, in particular the former greats of yesteryear.
