LOL, from what I've watched so far ... IF she pulls a CPS, then the problem will stay forever... CPS have never really improve his serves ... In an interview, he said that he just don't know why ... and its something they've to deal with ...
Yeah not just COS, wakana, misaki, gabby, ko sing hyun. It definitely stays forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Misaki's serve is a lot better now I rarely saw a bad serve these days, so it is possible! You forgot the king of bad serves Lim Khim Wah. The best part was when he tried to "fix" his server but made it look super weird with a half body rotation, and of course didn't work. It's a miracle that he won a super series.
I haven't watch any of Lim Khim Wah matches, perhaps it's worth fishing in YT for it. LOL I thought Misaki is always this good ... lol but yeah she did got a lot better ... but she did still have a few bad serves in the Uber cup... (short) Perhaps its in the Jpn team
I forgot to mention poli. She completely switched from backhand to forehand at the Olympics. I don’t see why players don’t try that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
People don't do this serve because it can be super inconsistent and the moment that the shuttle passes the net, you have such a huge movement to have your racket up to respond to the opponents return shot.
Yes it’s not ideal but in women’s doubles where the serve return is not that prominent it can be good to do it instead of flicking all the time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Higashino took mixed doubles positioning, standing in front of the server. Of course this is womens doubles where you would stand behind the server. Fukushima had to remind Higashino that they are playing womens doubles.
I get Arisa is a fan favourite but this pair is not better than yuki/mayu. I wanna see more of yuki/mayu. They were really good at the Uber cup especially against the same Koreans yuta/Arisa also lost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
but Mayu is ... you need to booot her up... She is too unstable ... BUt yes, Mayu/Yuki is awesome when Mayu decides to turn on!!
That’s true. But she was mostly on during Uber cup especially against Lee/shin she was hitting winners left, right center. Front and back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After watching several matches, I found that for a scratch pairing, they were pretty good! I even found Yuki Fukushima more adventurous at the net.
The strongest and consistent pair in Japan actually FukuHiro - actually the best pair after TakaMatsu pair is over. This pair is really good againts China/Korea with their formidable defense. NagaMatsu - this pair actually have some weakness, it is been ages they never win again China/Korean pairs. Matsu defense and error is the main issue. They are having problem to maintain the leading score momentum. ShiMatsu (Chiharu Shida / Matsuyama Nami) - This young pair is quite interesting. Though they are still need experience in the international levels. Japan used to be WD power house - but injuries become a big problem for their players. Koharu Yonemoto is retired due to injuries. Ayaka Takahashi is retired due to age and prone to injuries too. Misaki Matsutomo is no longer in her prime level. I believe she is still a great player and pairing with Ayaka's husband in MX will be not an easy journey for them.
Fuji/Hiro has good defense, but I feel in recent times they have been struggling keeping up with attacks of Chinese/Korean pairs. Their attacks aren't as strong which makes it hard for them to end rallies until their opponents makes a mistake. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

They are a defensive type of players. I have to admitted that and their Power play sometimes not working againts some pairs. Compare to the Korean's pair with loud scream. Kim/Kong or Shin/Lee are indeed Aggresive type of play. Still, If Hirota 100% recovered and back on court I am sure they still will be elite players.
