Absolutely... Viktor was somehow not able to dominate him like he does to others.

Like KM, HSP was able to read and get a lot back. HSP also got good attack, he has best backhand among Indian MS.

JPN has 11 SS titles in 2021 but Zonk in OG. sometimes life is funny. If its 1 individual or 1 pair upset can happen but JPN is just so consistent.

Looks as though Axelsen came hoping to have an easy win…that’s dangerous. The frustrations were palpable when he wasn’t able to accelerate. HSP seems to have unfinished business. I hope he can get the better of KS tomorrow.

Two Indian MS players do good job to oust more fancied rivals, the resurgent Srikanth conquers INA last man standing in this category Jonatan Christie, rollercoaster performance by both players but the Indonesian produced too many easy mistakes, a declining performance by INA MS squad post Thomas Cup triumphant.

The more spectacular show displayed by the underdog Prannoy who stuns very consistent player nowadays, the Olympic Champion Viktor Axelsen, interesting plot twist of this match when the momentum for world #32 started from 8-14 down to take over the lead and grabbed second game then the pattern it repeated again 7-11 in decider, Prannoy good anticipation of almost all Axelsen shots really frustrating the mighty Dane who looks troubled by the drift and lack of idea how to end the constructed rally.

Looking MS quarterfinal line-up, several top names of bottom half draw have been tumbled, leaving former champion Antonsen is the only seeded player who staying in the fray.

HSP also looks more leaner.. he seems a different player from the time he was called the beast. Seems a lot calmer, mature. He was touted as a top 5 player but could never live up to the billing. Hope he can carry on from here to the top.

Some of the injuries or disease are strange which Gill mentioned about Prannoy.
Digestive track infection and he could not eat certain food!.. what kind of infection is that!

Didn't expect Chou Tien Chen to rout Loh Kean Yew. I mean, CTC beating LKY is not surprising but not by that score.

I feel like CTC is playing a little bit more consciously now. I noticed that since the last tourney.

He played with quality as of now. Probably keeping his grinding style for special occasions.

I could not stop saying here that Morten Frost said after the 1st game between Victor Axelsen and Prannoy that it looked like an easy match for Victor.
But the Match was in favour of Prannoy . Is it the curse of the commentator or he spoke too soon?
At the end of the match, he was completely silent.

Anti climax. Shd play big tournanents 1st. Big players not keen.

Shd be like denmark open and then french open.

U notice viktor is only focusing on big tournaments only. Like lindan. ;)
