Well, oh well, if Kevin Cordon reproduces the form he had at the Tokyo Olympics, it's not far-fetched to imagine him in the final here - and should he confound us and wear the crown come Sunday, I'd be grinning from ear to ear with my eyes popping out in disbelief. That happens. Low ranked players when they play top ranked players, they will try to give 200% to match the opponents and it's that top opponent feel all the pressure. But when these low ranked players meet another player of his level or less in the next round, they never give that much output. Whereas that opponent feel lucky to meet this guy instead of top ranked player , so he will be thankful to him as it is the biggest opportunity for him as well to win a medal. So, bottom half players everybody will be ready to meet anybody else as Viktor is lost already.
True. And honestly, it is not just MS. MD and WD are hit hard as well. WS is also hit very hard, but the amount of top tier players kinda makes up for it.
