Born in Malay, but grow up by Singapore, and of course, graduated by Singaporean I like Loh Kean Yew because he show his humble attitude on court. I just want to tell that both was "Malaysian" but why I like Loh but not Lee. Just compare both of them.
As regards Loh Kean Yew's nationality, I hope Malaysians please stop claiming as Loh as Malaysian. His parents and Loh have decided to take up Sgpore offer of scholarship and citizenship to play for Singapore. They made that decision when he was 13 and he is a product of Singapore and Singapore's effort to turn him into a world beater. Singapore BA has not have a world class locally produced player since Wong Peng Soon and kudos to the to find one in LKY. And Malaysians please stop this chatter about lost opportunity or talent drain to Sgpore. Loh made his choice very early in life and he was not rejected by BAM. There was no guarantee he would have made it with BAM given the tough competition posed by his comtemporaries which include two olympic bronze medalist.

Lol... I don't think he considered himself as Malaysian. He showing and pointing to his Singapore flag on his chest and even kiss it to show the camera whenever he wins against a high ranking players. Plus he serve the 2 years Military National Service in Singapore.
Pointing and kissing the flag on jersey, to show they represent their countries. Every player does that, probably the cameraman asked them to do it. He is Singaporean and we should move on with our badminton. Ignore the uninformed.
