under bwf's dictatorship there is no such thing as an individual event/tournament.

Yes. When u can control the net. Your opponent will have to push you to the back. Else suicidal. ;)

I consider Chen yufei, tty, Carolina Marin a tier above everyone else. Wang looks good against asy but asy isn't top tier yet...Im sure Chen would win easily. Although it seems Chen yufei might retire which is odd.

Don't include Chen Yufei with TTY and Marin. Yufei will lose to certain players again and again. She is lucky to win gold at Tokyo.

'Domination' ? . She lost to Sindhu in World Championships in the Semifinals quite easily.

Well she is playing under pressure, her first senior world championships and branded as one of the favourite to win, plus Wang is a very grindy player as well

ASY seems to have hurt her finger at some point, it has been a distraction for her

ASY is so consistent and composed in these long rallies, it's fascinating to watch.

Incredible match by ASY. Outstanding resilience, being dragged behind pretty much all the time

Wang was really good too, honestly just a bit less consistent in these super long rallies (also the reason why she often loses to Chen Yufei)

true, but her peak run has been very short lived. if she dominates for a couple more years that would put her in the group of all-time bests. i'd like to see her do it but her current injury might make it difficult.
whoa... what's your source on that @James blake ?
