What makes you say this? All the Danish players are saying this is a slow hall (which is also quite typical for the very big halls). The shuttles they were given by BWF to practice with before the tournament started were so slow that they said they almost couldn't hit a clear and decided to find and use some shuttles of their own instead.
You also see a lot of long rallies in the doubles categories because they can't get through the opponents' defence.

Nah, a redraw because the draw was imbalanced. Top half was too vulnerable. The second highest ranked player in the top half was TWW, who is now at WR12! (and the current skewed state of the world rankings doesn't help at all). One upset in the top half (Chou) and it was wide open.
Remember that when a redraw re-distributes the remaining seeds, it also lifts some seeds to higher seeds. A redraw would have LZJ seeded 3/4, so he couldn't have met AA before semis for example. And Tsuneyama and Gemke would be seeded 5/8. Sen and HKV would also have been seeded and so would Kunlavut.

Remarkably, a redraw still wouldn't have seeded Loh.

Loh Kean Yew to go all the way. Antonsen may be a challenge (ie. Like Viktor), but we'll see. I'd be very disappointed if either of the Indian players win.

Overall though, a very 'watered down' World Championships, the winners I'd suspect wouldn't feel 'satisfied', not having won against the very top ranked players.

Bookmakers have a clear favorite in the match, Loh Kean Yew. They give -1.37 for his victory. To win Antonsen - 2.81

Really got to take my hats off Loh Kean Yew for this week's run at the BWF World Championships 2021. I believe he himself never believe that he could have such performances, which started from that sensational victory over Viktor Axelsen in R64. Since then, he demolished his next 2 opponents so easily (single digits, not exceeding 8 in the 4 sets). H.S. Prannoy gave him a sterner test but Loh continued his excellent performance and beat the Indian in straight-sets yet again (this time 14 and 12) to set up a tough match (scheduled to be the last for today) against Anders Antonsen in the SF. Both players never met before, so, it could be a long grind lasting 3 sets. If Antonsen ran out of gas, Loh is very much in shape to take this to the Final, likely against K. Srikanth, who will face the 20-year old Lakshya Sen.

While there are 2 WS players from CHN in the Final, they are very much the underdogs as He Bing Jiao squares off against the top-seed Tai Tzu Ying. Meanwhile, the second-seed Akane Yamaguchi will face Zhang Yi Man. I am predicting a Final between the top 2 seeds.

In the MD, both matches today are very interesting. The in-form Japanese pair Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi have beaten the Malaysian pair Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi twice recently in the BWF World Tour Finals and barring any upset, they should take the crown. He Ji Ting/Tan Qiang have beaten odds to win a medal this week and they will be tested by the Danes Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. I am predicting a Final between Hoki/Kobayahashi vs Astrup/Rasmussen and the Japanese pair to take the crown.

Another Japanese pair in Mayu Matsumoto/Wakana Nagahara awaits Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan for a place in the Final. The CHN pair is my pick to be crowned World Champion again (after their first victory in 2017). In the bottom half, Kim So Yeong/Kong Hee Yong are again going to be engaged in a tough tussle against their compatriots Lee Soo Hee/Shin Seung Chan. Lee/Shin hold the edge, especially after their 2 recent victories against the Bronze Medallist in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Finally, a Japanese pair is ensured a place in the Final, with the third-seed Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino very much the favourite against Kyohei Yamashita/Naru Shinoya who have beaten three seeds to win at least the Bronze medal. HKG is also guaranteed a medal as Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet facing the second-seed Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai. Bass/Popor, the new World No 1, have been unstoppable lately, winning 4 tourneys in a row. Yet another Final encounter between them and Watanabe/Higashino is expected, making it the fourth time in the past 3 months!

Will this be HeTan last tournament together if they win WC i wonder. On one hand, HeJiting partnering with LYC will be a top 4 pair imo.

Likely they will give it their all and i reckon even WC Gold will not save the partnership since a silver WC medal didnt save Liu/QiuZihan partnership.

Ratchanok bottled it again. She simply does not have what it takes to achieve greatness . Her success starts and ends at 19.

Whatever happened in Men's Singles, please LKY win all the way!

AA may need VA sitting at the coaching chair for this match.

Arbi's style wasn't sustainable and his stay was short.

I would be disappointed when Antonsen and Loh wins. I would like Former world no.1 srikanth wins it. But I would take it if Sen wins it too.

I would say all the 4 are worthy. Srikanth said that he is only 20% of his former self , that he is not physically strong to that level yet. Hope he wins it

A memorable World Championships for India MS players, one silver (at least) and bronze medal has been assured in Huelva. It's teenager 20 years old Lakshya Sen who's touted as one of future stars alongside Vitidsarn and Li SF proves his potential to win nerve-wrecking battle against China secondstringer Zhao JP. At the brink of defeat, the young Indian stayed calm and took initiative to grab last three decisive points, lucky or not in critical situation Sen has defeated the more experienced opponent. Earlier on court 1, Srikanth powered past NED player Mark Caljouw in single digit scoreline that illustrating former world number one begins to regain his old form. Aiming high, the sensational Loh KY keeps excellent run to subdue Prannoy, quick game, superb defense, creative net shots, light footwork, beating Axelsen is no fluke and should boost extra motivation to step up to next round and presenting first ever World Championships medal for Singapore, he will be awaited another Dane to seek final ticket. Meanwhile MAS hopeful All England champion Lee ZJ once again can't complete the match citing blistering on his right foot, third retirement after Hylo Open final and INA Masters recently.

Quarter final jinx has been broken, Tai Tzu Ying beat one of arch-rivals reigning World Champion Pusarla Sindhu, when the Taiwanese star did less mistake, she's on the element with high quality technical skill including disguising forehand net drop that surprised Sindhu frequently. No turning back for the Indian mega star this time, she tends to be error-proned at late stage of second game. Current Olympics silver medalist will up against China left-hander He Bingjiao, if the mighty Taiwanese played normal, it'll be difficult for He to balance long rally and anticipate deceptive drop shots unless the Chinese ables to implement more aggressive and quick game. A big headline scored by the lesser-known 25 years old Zhang Yiman who stuns Thai famous player Ratchanok Intanon, stamina issue and endurance contributing Intanon defeat as her rival relying on this aspect plus powerful smash to nail semis spot. Interesting to wait whether Zhang could overcome the solid retriever and agile Akane Yamaguchi next. The Japanese won over familiar foe, An Se Young in quite odd encounter, three games with one way traffic script.

Is it a one-hit wonder for Taiwenese duo? Lee/Wang displayed extremely well in Tokyo but very contrast fashion, a series of uninspired forms emerged after Tokyo episode including yesterday last eight round how they played in mediocre level especially final game when they were so passive, became slower, committed many elementary mistakes and being dictated by Ong/Teo who performed beyond expectation, fast furious attack and strong defense as well to frustrate the Olympic Champions. The very consistent Japan protagonists Hoki/Kobayashi will be MAS independent pair tough test for a place in finale. On bottom-half draw, the surprising semifinalists He JT/Tan Q rise to the occasion, eliminated two MAS pairs in a row and will challenge recent SUI Open Champions Astrup/Rasmussen.

CHN, JPN, KOR, the main ingredients of women's doubles semifinal. A fascinating fashion happened when China mainstays Chen/Jia took over the lead in second game, 9-16 to 21-17, experience in major event contributing important role for Matsuyama/Shida setback, former World Champions didn't lift the shuttlecock too much instead of playing more flast drive because they aware about Japanese good retrieving skill, Chen QC was the key factor to control and intercept shuttlecock at front area. Seems the top-seeds have good chance to book final berth based on positive head to head stats against two-time defending champions Matsumoto/Nagahara. Last but not least as predicted, the Koreans secure one place in last round, long time missing the podium since Lee/Shin bagged bronze medal in Copenhagen 2014.

It's quite predictable as three in-form mixed doubles pair cruising into final four and new champions will be born in this category following Zheng/Huang crashed out surprisingly in second round and their back-ups level of play still have wide gap to catch up. Thai prominent duo getting solid and fully confident, an arduous task for Tang/Tse to beat them. Watanabe/Higashino will meet relatively unknown Japanese unseededs Yamashita/Shinoya who create upset over reigning European Champions Alimov/Davletova in last eight thrilling match.

TTY only issue is her own mistakes. She lost to herself, usually.

Lzj riddled with injuries. Lousy yy socks eh?? What injury next?? ;) There are lots of good socks out there. Do you know?

RI is old already. At best semis for big tournament. Many up coming new players. Even the scots Gilmour getting better ;)

Teo used to be better. Now Ong is even better. Teo need to buck up to match him. They need to stop Hoki front domination.

Sen better loose to SK so that he got fresh legs in finals. SK needs to make a call to Prakash Padukone on how he tamed Han Jian. Else LKY will wrap the wc up easily. ;)

I will be writing tips in how to beat LKY soon. ;) After this wc. Be patient. Wakaka.

See how to beat Viktor and Momota below. Most of you will learn lots of tips there. Be it any level you play. Enjoy ;)

If all Indian nationals send me 10 rupees each. I will send u tips to beat lky. Wakaka. ;)
