What makes you say this? All the Danish players are saying this is a slow hall (which is also quite typical for the very big halls). The shuttles they were given by BWF to practice with before the tournament started were so slow that they said they almost couldn't hit a clear and decided to find and use some shuttles of their own instead. You also see a lot of long rallies in the doubles categories because they can't get through the opponents' defence. Nah, a redraw because the draw was imbalanced. Top half was too vulnerable. The second highest ranked player in the top half was TWW, who is now at WR12! (and the current skewed state of the world rankings doesn't help at all). One upset in the top half (Chou) and it was wide open. Remember that when a redraw re-distributes the remaining seeds, it also lifts some seeds to higher seeds. A redraw would have LZJ seeded 3/4, so he couldn't have met AA before semis for example. And Tsuneyama and Gemke would be seeded 5/8. Sen and HKV would also have been seeded and so would Kunlavut. Remarkably, a redraw still wouldn't have seeded Loh.
Loh Kean Yew to go all the way. Antonsen may be a challenge (ie. Like Viktor), but we'll see. I'd be very disappointed if either of the Indian players win. Overall though, a very 'watered down' World Championships, the winners I'd suspect wouldn't feel 'satisfied', not having won against the very top ranked players.

Just look at the XD and MS match is played , its obviously faster than in Bali. They are all over it. i dont think all halls will be slow anyway.
Really got to take my hats off Loh Kean Yew for this week's run at the BWF World Championships 2021. I believe he himself never believe that he could have such performances, which started from that sensational victory over Viktor Axelsen in R64. Since then, he demolished his next 2 opponents so easily (single digits, not exceeding 8 in the 4 sets). H.S. Prannoy gave him a sterner test but Loh continued his excellent performance and beat the Indian in straight-sets yet again (this time 14 and 12) to set up a tough match (scheduled to be the last for today) against Anders Antonsen in the SF. Both players never met before, so, it could be a long grind lasting 3 sets. If Antonsen ran out of gas, Loh is very much in shape to take this to the Final, likely against K. Srikanth, who will face the 20-year old Lakshya Sen. While there are 2 WS players from CHN in the Final, they are very much the underdogs as He Bing Jiao squares off against the top-seed Tai Tzu Ying. Meanwhile, the second-seed Akane Yamaguchi will face Zhang Yi Man. I am predicting a Final between the top 2 seeds. In the MD, both matches today are very interesting. The in-form Japanese pair Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi have beaten the Malaysian pair Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi twice recently in the BWF World Tour Finals and barring any upset, they should take the crown. He Ji Ting/Tan Qiang have beaten odds to win a medal this week and they will be tested by the Danes Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. I am predicting a Final between Hoki/Kobayahashi vs Astrup/Rasmussen and the Japanese pair to take the crown. Another Japanese pair in Mayu Matsumoto/Wakana Nagahara awaits Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan for a place in the Final. The CHN pair is my pick to be crowned World Champion again (after their first victory in 2017). In the bottom half, Kim So Yeong/Kong Hee Yong are again going to be engaged in a tough tussle against their compatriots Lee Soo Hee/Shin Seung Chan. Lee/Shin hold the edge, especially after their 2 recent victories against the Bronze Medallist in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Finally, a Japanese pair is ensured a place in the Final, with the third-seed Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino very much the favourite against Kyohei Yamashita/Naru Shinoya who have beaten three seeds to win at least the Bronze medal. HKG is also guaranteed a medal as Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet facing the second-seed Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai. Bass/Popor, the new World No 1, have been unstoppable lately, winning 4 tourneys in a row. Yet another Final encounter between them and Watanabe/Higashino is expected, making it the fourth time in the past 3 months!
Will this be HeTan last tournament together if they win WC i wonder. On one hand, HeJiting partnering with LYC will be a top 4 pair imo. Likely they will give it their all and i reckon even WC Gold will not save the partnership since a silver WC medal didnt save Liu/QiuZihan partnership.

I would be disappointed when Antonsen and Loh wins. I would like Former world no.1 srikanth wins it. But I would take it if Sen wins it too.
I would say all the 4 are worthy. Srikanth said that he is only 20% of his former self , that he is not physically strong to that level yet. Hope he wins it
