Sorry to say but the doubles players they send to the Thomas Cup this time are all relatively "unkown" and lowly ranked players:
    Chaloempun Charoenkitamorn/Nanthakarn Yordphaisong (WR220)
    Pakkapon Teeraratsakul/Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul (WR571)
    Wachirawat Sothon/Tanadon Punpanich (WR679)
    Pakkapon Teeraratsakut/Peeratchai Sukphun (WR1671)

There's no Kittinupong Kedren/Supak Jomkoh or the XD World Champion Dechapol Phuavaranukroh in the team, like last year. And the pair that beat the Minions in Thomas Cup 2018 (Kittisak Namdash/Nipitphon Phuangphuapet) is also not there.

If Jeon Hyeok Jin can take the second set against Kantaphon Wangcharoen, the host THA will likely lose their first team match.
He leads 11-6 at the interval.

I don't think the more experienced Choi Solgyu/Kim Wonho can lose to the WR1671.

Team KOR leads 2-1 after Jeon Hyeok Jin beat Kantaphon Wangcharoen easily in straight-sets 21-12, 21-12!

Any idea why are the experienced pair not in Thomas cup?

Teera ( left handed ) is a very promising player for a 17 years old. His partner Sukph’s smashes are very flat though

should field in other players instead of him, he seems like somebody with no morale …

anyways more slips for the Thai vs Korea MD… this flooring is ridiculous !

Heard from the commentators that Thailand's top MDs are selected to play at the South East Asian Games (2021 edition delayed to 2022) which will start later in the week in Vietnam, which is unforunate to be clashing with 2022 thomas cup

It causes by the weather. Any badminton courts in Thailand that level on ground floor will be slippery due temperature fluctuation . Only courts that place on second floor or above that would not be effected. Whenever it rains outside, it causes temperature fluctuation which make the floor slippery. It will be raining for this whole week in BKK, so you can expect to see more players sliding all over and may end up getting injury. No matter how much you try to mop it wont help.

Yes, Gayatri is injured and withdrew from BAC and Uber cup. Since it was a late withdrawal no replacement was allowed. Hence the scratch pairs, Shruti/Simran should be WD2 but ranking has made them WD1. Anyway Tanisha/Jolly are a strong pair for WD2. India did well to beat Canada 4-1 with such an inexperienced team.

I think Gillian Clark said that Marin wasn't even in Bangkok. I can hardly blame her--no matter how well she did against Tai it wouldn't have gotten Spain enough points for the knockout round.

Is momota too good to play against US? I wonder why they rested him. He needs to play more matches especially against teams that he could easily win to help his confidence.

What happen to the live stream. When Nishimoto was playing the first match, the stream became unstable.

    Why always ?

Is it that humid in the hall right now? I don't know if the other courts are the same, but Lu and Popov can barely stay on their feet with how slippery the court is.

I dont really like to comment in tournaments unless its my home tourney/WC and OLY or there is some serious flaws in the tournys.

Now I am following the T&U cup and since yesterday also today itself I have seen multiple players fall and skid many times.

Just now some french player against LGZ skid twice now I dunno if its the flooring or God knows what it is but does anyone know whats going on ?

Now the stadium looks great, carpeting is good, decorations are nice everything is amazing and gives a feel of a Perfect Standard of a BWF Tournament however,There is something in the floor now I dunno what it is but either the material of the courts or if it has to di something with the temp outside I dunno..does anyone ?
