I just realised that Gemke hasn't lost a match since 1st of September (not counting losses to VA). The last three tournaments he played, he lost to VA. I guess that's bad news for Sen/HSP, since Gemke needs to pass them to reach VA once more.
I will be surprised if LS can beat HSP, it seems HSP has figured him out. If LS keeps on drawing HSP in R1 all the time his career is doomed
Corporate coaches have been known to accompany national team coaches. I am not sure how this is financed, however, and the notion of fairness would need to be maintained; i.e., if Momota can bring his coach, why can't I? With so many corporate teams represented, it would turn out to be quite an entourage. Moreover, as Sato Shoji is now NTT-East's Head Coach, I am not sure what his other obligations are. I really don't know, though.
There are Indian fans cheering IN DO NESIA chants for Jojo I also saw an Indonesian flag I mean it could be an Indonesian fan but If not then its great that true fans are here to cheer for their favs which is what a healthy fanbase looks like...I wish the poisonous Indonesian Netizens could be here to witness this lolz even JoJo Acknowledged them and waived at them after winning. We have true badminton lovers in the stadium and I cant get enough of it...Love my people !!
First I went to gate 16 as told in the website. Then went to gate 8. After taking tickets, had to wait there for 30 mins. Momota match already completed 1 game and second one was being played. Some people were let in through the gate before 9:30 am. We waited from 10 till 10:30
Momota who's expected to recapture a bit of his scintillating form continues to maintain disastrous run considering what he carved in 2019, vulnerable defense, lousy net play, bleak self confidence that produces frustration, no surprise for Gemke to beat former MS king straightforwardly for this kind of performance. Another MS player who's trying to climb on top, Shi YQ needs to dig deep after made slow start to analyse his unfamiliar opponent game plan, signature cross court smash that preceded by efficient net play frequently score point predictably. The Chinese was unfazed to sense narrow defeat in opening game as he looks confident to bounce back and dictate next two games, injects the pace, more pro active to set up attacking pattern from mid court area. Overall, his level of play also experience as well is better than Wardoyo.
Im so sorry that you had to go through this ..I did see a some fans during early hours cause I came in early at around 8ish AM and I along with people I know are seated in the players and staff area which is where the Court Cameras are placed and also is reserved for family or friends of players and I believe fans are seated right adjacent to us. I wish I had known you were here I could have met you and even gotten you a selfie with one of India's SENsation ..Im sure you would have loved seeing the practice area where all the players practise which I visited yesterday and even today. I had responded to your post the moment I saw it but never got your response untill now when Im back at the Hotel Tonight Im leaving as I have my flight to Thailand tomorrow so I will miss the action but will be watching on TV...Also I wanna thank you and other fans who came out in large numbers and many of them still there cheering for all players with full energy !!
It was a pretty good version of Gemke that turned up today. There were a lots of good rallies in the match. In fact, it appeared that KM moved well on the court after a long time. His smashes had the sting as well. As usual, what let him down was his defense. Gemke was able to penetrate that at his will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One lady with her kid travelled all the way from Tamil Nadu (2000 km) to Delhi just to watch these matches. Felt really happy after listening to her. VIP side area had few people but common spectator area was fully filled. As it was first round, I didn’t expect this much crowd.
