Nothing good ever happened to me. As a matter of fact, it hurts my wallet alot, breaking racket every 3 or 4 weeks can really wear someone down
It would have to be winning a tournament. Funny thing is, I didn't realize it was the championship game. After we won that game, I was standing on the court waiting for the next opponent, like an idiot! My partner was on the floor all passed out and I yelled at him to get up and be ready for the next one. I didn't realize we won until the officials told us to get our trophies. Couldn't believe my ears! LOL. The best moment was reliving it over again over a nice burger at In N Out.
Have coached many junior students for the past five years, only 2-3 hours per week, One of which didn't really show a lot of natural talent back then. This year, now 16 years old, everything seemed to click in place, she made it to the finals of some tournaments, and represented her country at a Bronze Challenge event. Its true to say that dedication and perserverance pays off in the end. I'm proud to know that I was able to make a difference.
for me.. is when i am in the door of lost but get back & win my skol open title.. i can't believe it.. in the quarter final , lost 1st set in a big margin, then win 2nd with a 21-18.. the 3rd set trailing behind & win it 22-20... then the semis & final are juz as easy as ABC... dunno why like this... it really make me feel happy!
Will probably sound really sad lol... but for me it's meeting new friends. I have met some of my absolute best friends through badminton as I'm sure a lot of you also have. In fact my two very best friends at the moment I met through badminton. I'm sure they will be friends for life and to me that's the best thing that could happen to me . After all where would I be without my friends ? As for actual badminton, I'm not sure... I guess whenever I have a really close game with the people I look up to... that's pretty special. Even losing to them like that is far more special than beating any old average player.
The "teh tarik" sessions after the game. It's where you get to eat and catch up (gossip) on just about anything (politics, economy, current hot news, etc). with yr frens. BTW "teh tarik" in malaysian means "pulled tea" a specialty milk tea drink prepared by the Indian Muslim community in malaysia. If u caome to malaysia, dun forget to ask yr frens to take you ofr a "teh tarik".

being able to play badminton and socialize with my badminton friends -and- doing a perfect peter gade shot in a tournament without thinking about it. yes, that shocked me as much as my opponent. i lost that match btw.

probably when I was down like 13-3 and came back to win the set proved to myself it ain't over till its over
best thing that happen? its everyday that i play badminton knowing my skill improve~ its good to win but its even better that i know i play a better game even i lose~
My partner and I just won our first tournament a couple months ago. It's pretty much the first time I've won anything related to sports. The years I've put into badminton feel like they were worth it. The win inspired me to get even better. We're intermediate players (we were put in Level 6, where 1 is the best and 11 is for total rookies) and I know I can improve on a lot of things.
