see, yannie understands well the difference between mainland Chinese and native Chinese, or China Chinese. Because native Chinese includes Chinese in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, and China Chinese includes Chinese in Hong Kong and Macau.
Same thing applies to Malaysian: Malaysian = Malaysia Malay + Malaysia Chinese + Malaysia Indian + indigenous Malay = Malaysia Malay + Indonesia Malay + Singapore Malay + ...
didn't someone bet that if lcw lose to lin dan at china master, he would email a color photo portrait of himself to us?
Can't see any upsets today, therefore: MS: LCW MD: KKK/TBH WS: ZM WD: Chien/Cheng XD: Nova/Butet Ya, I know, it's very boring. Just want to see some competitive matches.
this final is interesting: MS: can chen hong pull in another title after life in china team? MD: can china 2nd team take on the revamped pair kkk/tbh? WS: can zhou mi slap LYB? WD: red china vs china rebels XD: can KOR upset strong INA pair?
Zhu has some amazing backcourt footworks, thats why she can do some jump smashes and recover quickly. However, her frontcourt skills is abit weak.
LCW for MS its a close call....like always ZM for WS for sure Lilyana/Nova for XD for sure except Novaplays some yo-yo tricks that he learnt from HH.....hehehehe TPE for WD playing CHN junior pair...a golden opportunity for the TPE to win KKK/TBH for MD but The CHN seems improved alot...it will be close
Kind of like to see that happens. I'm getting bored by CHN domination. If they continue to dominate, I will lose interest in badminton.
r u that weak? china dominates pc and tv component manufacturing, r u gonna quit surfing and watching tv? LOL
I meant CHN domination in badminton. And I meant I'm going to lose interest ***in badminton*** if that continues. Other than that, life goes on as usual. I've been visiting China for 6 times in the last 7 years and I may set my personal record of visiting China twice within a year if my planned trip to Wuhan will take place in October (I went to Guangzhou a few weeks ago).
CHN dominating a single sports events in Badminton will seriously dampened the Olympics Spirits ! We were in DANGER of losing this events being held for future OG IF the situations continues ! IOC will probably drop badminton frm OG ! So hopes CHN will considering on it & ot being too selfish . They shld follow the examples of KOR on Taekwondo & JPN on their KarateDo in which both countries helps out developing this sports in other countries.. They even did not send their participant in World Cup for this 2 sports (in several single exercise).. To raise a new World Champions for another countries outside them to have a chance of winning the world title ! I doubt CHN Badminton Association can do the same on that...!
Well... research have shown that 90-over % INA people actually originally came from south CHN and our DNA map is 99.99% identical... So INA and CHN are actually all cousins?
ur missing the big picture. I had stated in an previous thread about badminton popularity. China domination can be a plus for badminton during its growing (popularity) gain. Imagine if botswana dominate badminton, badminton would never be in the OG. IOC wouldnt dare to drop badminton without china's blessing. It use to be (and now) that US dominated sports are a shoe-in for the OG. Look at tracks and field, so many events of similar sport (eg, sprinting). China is the next big wig, and dont forget russia, india are making progress in badminton too. U can say the same thing about yonex, which dominated badminton equips. Without yonex, hate it or love it, badminton i think wouldn't had gone this far today without them. Since badminton isnt an american sport, u think wilson, carlton, prince, slazenger, head would pull badminton this far by themselves? ha
OK.. then could u pls explain Y CHN cany follow the footsteps of KOR / JPN for developing the interests of Other Countries in Taekwondo/ Karate respectively! Today.. More countries participating in those 2 events compare v Badminton.. Pls correct me IF i am wrong !
By "we don't like China dominates badminton", we didn't mean that China should just give up or give away, but we hope other countries will catch up (perhaps with China's help). China doesn't have to dominate the games (e.g., sweep 80% of international titles - pretty much the case nowadays for those tournaments that China send all their best to) to ensure the game's popularity in its own country and keep badminton in OG. China is influential but not THAT influential to stop IOC from dropping particular games from OG. Instead, if China keeps dominate the game, causing other countries to give up or don't give their best (i.e., their governments and their sponsors cut down their sponsorship), thus worsen the imbalance, IOC would perceive badminton as a one-country game (i.e., only popular within one country, no matter how big and how influential the country is) and therefore the game will be dropped from OG.
