    China China all the way.I believe that other than MD all other finals have a chance of being all China affairs.this sickens me and i have to admit it.nor is this good for Badminton.I mean just look...there's one WC and another then another and the same story repeats China 'Dominate'
    This was the case a few years ago and is still the same and if this continues where are we really moving towards.

    Would it not be cool if he had a say Malaysia VS Denmark MS final[The most open event and yet there's always a Chinese in the finals][or a Anup Shridhar in the final:D]

    It would be SO 'Refreshing'!
    I dont know when this can happen but i sure hope it happens soon.

    like it has been said before, don't blame China for their dominance, blame it on others who are unable to catch up

    Don't blame the Chinese if we are not good enough! The rest of the world do have what it takes to fight the Chinese players but failed. Think in a positive way, the superior Team China has pushed the rest of the world to higher level of play.

    Very lame, I think!!

    I'm a fan of badminton.. I don't care if there is an all chineese affair as long as it is great level of badminton being played, and players go full out to do their best to win!!

    Good badminton is good, whatever country the player who plays it was born :)

    cheers,
    Twobeer

    P.S: I think we should focus more on the players, than the "nationalities", but of course most people will root for players from their own country :) D.S.

    My idea was not to blame the Chinese for this...far from it.Their acheivements HAVE to be respected.
    What i meant was that their dominance have to be SOMEHOW stopped
    by others.How i do not know.

    One thing ppl can do is to do things like: all Europeans unite, Mas and Indo and Korea (and now Japan) unite, do leagues, practise together, etc.

    While i agree with you that the quality cannot be compromised on..When i said i would like to see a MAS VS DEN MS finals the idea was that these guys would have beaten Chinese on their way i.e they are good enough against them.
    But i disagree with your opinion that an all Chinese affair is interesting
    because this is not a first rather this is happening too much for my liking.

    Every country brings a new flavour.
    like they say 'too much of Anything is bad'
    So also too much of Chinese is bad......atleast for me.

    One more intersting idea.Maybe this is very Lame and i dont want to spark of any controversy but how about the BWF think about having say 2-3 Gold Grand Prixs [but not a Super Series ]without the Chinese i.e no Chinese in the tournament.[And i doubt this will hurt China]

    Impractical i know but Just a thought.

    IBF had already applied national quota limits, had applied revised national separation rules, had adopted 21 points systems to increase chaos,..., what else can be deployed to stop China players?

    Maybe it'd better that you adjust your mind yourself, instead of complaining other's success. Just bear with it, live with it or try watching other sports like tennis. Nobady complained when Pete Sampraz, Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, Jim Courier, all Americans dominated the tennis.

    if that's indeed what you mean, your title is misleading.

    it should be more appropriately read:

    "other's inability to stop china domination is sickening"

    in fact, maybe even less strong a word than "sickening"

    China is just reaping the greatest asset of their sporting programmes: very large pool of talents.

    You'll need to blame the entire nation of China for being so populous.

    This will do no good for badminton. The key should be how to boost the level of other countries. China is strong because it has a large pool, and many many good players in the national team. They can spar with each other. While in other countries, only one or two good players. See how much WMC improved after sparring with ZM and YJ? That's the key.

    I think in Pingpong, Europe has been doing something like I suggested here.

    Happened before on Women's invitational event call "World Elite vs Team China" in 2004 organized by China. If the money is there, I am sure best players around the world will attend for this friendly match but China most probably will lose if play in Thomas Cup format but certainly will attract huge interest.
    Team China :
    MS : Lin Dan, Boa chunlai, Chen Jin, Chen Yu;
    MD : Fu/Cai, Xie/Guo;
    World Elite :
    MS : Taufik Hidayat(INA), Lee Chong Wei(MAS), Peter Gade(DEN), Boonsak Ponsana(THI);
    MD : KKK/TBH(MAS), Kido/Setiawan(INA), Lee/Jung(KOR);

    The current MVP Cup has the same idea except is Asia vs Europe. I don't see how it can go wrong to have such event.
