Thats true. They told me before ( No Offence ) that they "the Japs" don't like American Food. In fact most players in the tour love Japanese Food.

Not suprising. They have not been resting well after returning to Japan. Daily interviews and media appointments after their Bronze Medal achievement in WC. It is something big for the Japanese Mens Doubles to achieve this feat.

They will be ok when go back to Japan.

Naw, not that big of a deal. Sairul is ranked # 28, Yousuke # 40.

Yousuke was last year's champ and has, can you say, "home court advantage". :p

Yousuke just missed being seeded. The # 8 seed is John Moody, ranked # 38.

interesting how chandra used KOWI as his last name. AFAIK he doesn't have a last name and that kowi is a nickname.

The upsets continue, this time in WS:

#1 seed, World # 32, Yu Hirayama of Japan lost to unseeded, World # 131, Jae Youn Jun.

I think the jet lag and "food" :p is really hindering Team Japan.

Scott Evans of Ireland just beat Sato Shoji (1st Seed) of JPN. He beat Koichi Saeki of also of JPN the round before.

Good results so far by the Irish. He's was very popular with the Malaysian crowd againts homeboy Hafiz Hashim... Whom the home crowd Booooed.

Jun Jae Youn is not easy meat. before her injury, she was the top WS player from Korea, giving players like XXF and ZN a lot of headache.

Yup! I was wondering whatever happened to her after 2004/2005. Is she planning a comeback? I remember her match in the Uber Cup against Gong Ruina where she took the Chinese player to 3 hard sets. After that match, and winning a major title or two, many predicted her to become a force in WS to counter the Chinese. But she got injured the next year, right?

Congratulations to the Asuncions siblings. I thought they will be goners today but I was glad I was wrong, dead wrong!!! They don't get pass the round of 16 in any tournament that they have joined this year. This is a breakthrough for them.

I wish them luck and hope that they will make it to the semi-final. :)

With small crowds or fans showing up to watch baddy tourneys in Canada, cannot justify the cost to stage the event in big arena, and no major sponsors to pick up the tab. WC85 was held in University of Calgary arena and even then crowd attendance is very small. WC05 was held 20 years later in Anaheim and the SF and finals with PG-LD, TH-LCW and then LD-TH in finals was not full, lots of empty seats if you consider the seats occupied by the players. I organized 12 of us to see WC05 in Anaheim, now we can expect a long wait before WC comes back to North America.

Until WC comes back to North America, we can resigned ourselves to watch download, live streaming in the middle of the night on small rectangular screen with one eye open, the other eye closed and if live streaming screwed up, gosh! watching live scoring with the birdie flying from one player to the next, scores changing all night long until some bloke win the game...ahh, that is the sad autobiography of an addicted baddy fanatic living in North America. Hahaha!!!:p:p:D:D

    Mix Double match @U.S open

Thanks for the cheer and positive comments, it was a little tough playing against them, tony and partner give us a very good match. I think we put up a good fight against tony, and it was a good experience playing against the world class level player...:D
