Eye- catching MD first round matches:

    1. XZB/GZD Vs Sudket/Phattapol
    - This is the time for Thai Pair to shine in SS, the CHN will find it hard to breakthrough ...

    2. MK/HS vs Simon/Andres
    - Don't be surprised if the host pair can shoot down the World Champs. Dannish MD are on very high spirits after the success of JR/LP in Asia..

    3. KKK/TBH vs Hendra/Wijaya.
    - Very tough one for the MCO champs.. The Singaporean have improved alots..

The rest of MD matches should be one sided affair...

Roslin will give chance to younger brother. Once hafiz gets past R1,he would have made history so should improve.
But great draw for LCW, with opportunity to play TH then LD for OG08 training. Should LCW win DO, he just needs another experiment to prove himself.

    from badzine....

Wednesday, 10 October 2007 [IMG]Peter Gade will not only face long time friend Wong Choong Hann in the first round of his home event, but the Dane has been set to meet Lin Dan as early as the quarter-finals according to the draws, which were released today by the BWF.

If Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Chen Yu, the top three seeds, will play qualifying players in the first rounds, Peter Gade (picture) will have to heat up really quickly to make it to the second round. He faces long-time friend Wong Choong Hann of Malaysia, whom he has beaten on most occasions, but with the form the latter’s has been showing recently, anything is possible. Moreover Gade may have the toughest draw for his home ground tournament, and is likely to have on his road to the quarter-finals, the new serial top seed killer Simon Santoso, followed by world number one and world champion Lin Dan.

Fourth Seed Bao Chunlai will have the chance to take revenge for his Japan Open first-round defeat as he's drawn to meet Ronald Susilo of Singapore. The latter seems to be in great shape recently and Bao Chunlai's recent poor form won't help him to get over this task.

Malaysia's favorite brothers Roslin Hashim and Hafiz Hashim are also drawn to meet in the very first round of the event for their fourth meeting, and the winner is most likely to meet fifth seed Chen Hong in the second round. This fratricidal battle shows how Super Series draws treat the crowd and viewers to many interesting matches from the first round onwards, and even in the qualifiers ...

The entries include 21 of the 22 best players in the world, with only Dicky Palyama from the Netherlands, ranked 21th in the world, missing. The Dutch has decided to play only in his home event the week prior to that.

[IMG]The men's doubles sector suffers from an important absence as the legendary pair, Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya, didn't enter the draw, giving the Danish pair Jonas Rasmussen and Lars Paaske a chance to be seeded and to avoid top players early during their home event. However the draw sets them up against their compatriots Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen, who is back from a severe foot injury.

All top seeds should have few problems reaching the second round, which will probably show some fierce battles, with the current world champions Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan likely to meet dangerous Chinese pair Xie Zhongbo and Guo Zhendong. The Indonesian duo should then face their compatriots Luluk Hadiyanto and Alvent Yulianto in the quarter-final.

Recent Macau Open winners Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong (photo) from Malaysia, back on form, have a good chance of meeting rising Indonesian pair Joko Riyadi and Hendra Aprida Gunawan. Same goes for the new sensation from Japan, Shuichi Sakamoto and Shintaro Ikeda, who will be given the chance to avenge their defeat in the semi-final of the World Championships when they take on Korea's top pair Lee Yong Dae and Jung Jae sung in the second round.

[IMG]In the women's singles event, Tine Rasmussen (photo) will be able to repeat her fantastic run at the Japan open, which ended in a magical win after she defeated four Chinese players in a row! In Odense, Tine is drawn to meet one of her best friends off courts Anu Nieminen from Finland, and should face, in the second round, former Chinese player, Xu Huaiwen, now playing for Germany with a possible clash in quarter-final against the in-form player Zhu Lin, recently crowned World Champion.

Japan's cutest player, Eriko Hirose, is back after many months spent recovering from injury. She will face Bulgaria's top player, Petya Nedeltcheva, who is also coming back from injury but whe won her home event easily last week. A possible second round against last week's Macau Open semi-finalist Lu Lan from China is on the card for the winner. Zhang Ning and Xie Xingfang should reach the quarter-final stage without any problems.

Unfortunately for all spectators, they won't have the privilege of watching Gao Ling and Zheng Bo as they're not appearing in the mixed doubles draw. Therefore the Indonesian pair Nova Widianto and Lilyana Natsir are the favourites to win the title in Odense. However, they're drawn to meet, Thailand's best pair Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thoungtongkham, with the latter on a comeback from a back injury. The Thai pair have been ranked in the top five all year and could upset the world number one and world champions as early as the very first round.

[IMG]Hometown favourites and fifth seeds Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Laybourn (photo) should face some problems in the quarter-final with a possible encounter against the Chinese pair Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen although they must first be ready for their the first round matchup against Danish pair Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Britta Andersen, who can possibly play the role of the troublemakers as they have in the past.

The Denmark Open is the second tournament of a European Tour composed of one Grand Prix and two Super Series events. The European tour will end up with the French Open.

    It should be..

..interesting to see if Tine can somewhat duplicate her feat, in the recent Japan Open tourney, in her home-court event (possible to meet 4 CHN & ex-CHN players instead of 5)..

    Yes, it is interesting...
But I doubt she will be able to repeat her fantastic run at the Japan open.
That time was her miracle's performance. Very very hard to repeat it again, even though she will be playing in her homeground.

That's true. QF might be possible.

P/S: We should omit the word "again" in your phrase "repeat it again". Explanation (Refer to post #112)
