Just to bump this thread up...

Rian/Yoke and Rendra/Fran are BOTH in the QF of the Dutch Open 2007. Can they go one step further and claim SF places today?

Rian/Yoke will breach the top 30 by end of this year. I expect Rendra/Fran to also reach the top 50-60.

They stilll have the upcoming tourneys:
Denmark Open (for Rian/Yoke) -- can get 3600 pts if they get past round 1...not a bad draw for them there.
Vietnam Open -- similar to Dutch Open, a chance to get a title and at least SFs for both pairs.
Kejurnas (National Championships in Solo) -- SF placing for Rian/Yoke and at least QF for Rendra/Fran.
Malaysian Challenge (for Rendra/Fran) -- an easy 4000 pts up for grabs here.
Russian Open GP Gold -- depending on the participation, could be another fruitful tourney for them.
Italian Challenge -- see Malaysian Challenge. An all-Djarum FInal in the season-ending tourney for them will be good.

Rian in the 2007 Dutch Open finals!

Of course you can be Rian's fan, romantaufikinov... but are you still interested in becoming Rian's fan after he just defeated the Russian pair in Dutch Open SF a few minutes ago? :p

Congrats to Rian-Yoke and Fran-Rendra, they will fight it out in the Dutch Open finals tomorrow! :D

I am wrong...the all-Djarum Final is actually happening as early as tomorrow  Congrats to both Rian/Yoke and Rendra/Fran, and of course not forgetting Djarum's committment to INA badminton's future.

Oooh, that term is not used anymore... In the 1980s, they were Bimantara Tangkas, in the 1990s, they were Bogasari Tangkas... now no more title-sponsor, so they are just PB. Tangkas... ;)

Assuming Rian/Yoke win tomorrow (5000 pts), their ranking will shoot up to possibly top 50 (18910 pts).

They have a kind draw too, facing a qualifier next week (possibly against the DEN pair Rendra/Fran beat this week, Jacob Chemnitz/Mikkel Delbo Larssen). If they win, they get at least 3600 pts which will see them cling to at least 45-50th spot (22510 pts).

Another title in a Challenge/GP event will see them possibly in the top 25 by end of the year.

A reasonable target for them will be 30000 pts by end of the year so that they will earn main-draw rights for the season opener Malaysia and Korea Super Series.

    Remaining events for Rian/Yoke:
Denmark Super Series 2007 -- Round 2 should be enough and it will be a super bonus if they can reach QF with the kind draw.

Vietnam Open GP 2007 -- at least SF, but, hopefully a winner (tough though).

Indonesian National Championships 2007 -- at least SF.

Russian Open GP Gold 2007 -- the Russians will be there and we'll see if the other top 25 pairs are interested in sending their players all the way to Russia. At least QF to SF (and as always, hoping for a winner)

Italian Challenge 2007 -- no question...at least a finalist and expect a title.
