hmmm, if arif is injured, then that's a shame. i was looking forward to seeing him do well this time, he had a good asian junior championship. INA lost to SIN, now that's a surprise, some heads are going to roll for this!

My friend, please don't give me a SHOCK! I thought you said Aiying easily beaten by Maria! Actually what you meant was: Aiying easily beat Maria! (beat, beat, beaten)
So we are getting some results from our foreign talent policy, but we still have a long way to go...! And thanks to both powerhouses China and Indonesia, our youths are learning well from their talented foreign coaches as well ! Singapore has to be different and in management and resource allocation, we are different from big brother Indonesia.
Arif injured..? That's a shame.....I hope that it's not that serious...MAS is going to face China in the semis...I really hope that he's ok.
Of course we have imported the girls when they were about 12-13 years old and developed them to this stage. This is what we call 'foreign talent'. And we import the talented coaches as well, just like Malaysia! But I'm most happy that our local boys are up to the task now.
Anyways.....how does the team event work? There are so many teams...which countries can get to the final? Sorry for my ignorance.
Lim Fang Yang....is he going to replace Arif in the match against China? If I'm not mistaken....LFY was trashed by Chen Long in the AJC...
This is taken from BWF's website: Malaysia’s singles coach Sun Chenhua said Arif is doubtful for the semi-final tie on Saturday after he strained his groin in the match. “He is in pain when he walks and we will wait until tomorrow to see if he recovers. If the pain persists, we will not field him,” said Sun. “We are the underdogs against China as they have two strong singles players, and with Arif’s injury, China are the favourites.”
I respect what SIN is doing... If I were the one in charge of SIN badminton development, I would do exactly the same thing... Whoever is doing it over there, I give 2 thumbs up! Singapore citizens are almost all imports from either China, India, Malaysia, etc... At one point, they were all foreigners... Most were imported 100 to 200 years ago, but hey, ...still imported foreigners. Now SIN imported Fu Mingtian, Gu Juan, Zhang, Xing blabla around 4-6 years ago. Same 'foreign import' concept... I see nothing wrong with that... he he he... SIN's very foundation and existence was built on it. SIN is just following its founding father's old traditions...
Singapore shot down one of the hot favorites for WJC .. Hopes they can qualify for next year TC final rounds in Jakarta .. and once again, upsets the host
INA lost to SIN . A surprised. I thought INA would have win over SIN... SIN baddy has improved very well recently. Could be the same level as MAS, DEN, INA, etc... someday...
