Its out... Bad draw for MS: Bao Chunlai vs Taufik Hidayat -- Taufik faces his nemesis and I don't think he can beat Bao in Guangzhou. Simon Santoso vs Peter Gade -- unlucky Simon, but, he can beat Peter as we saw in Denmark Open. Wong Choong Hann vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro -- a tough opening match for Sony. If he wins, he will face possibly Lee Hyun Il for a place in QF where Lee Chong Wei (yet again) will await him. Bad draw for MD yet again: Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi vs Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya -- AG/Joko have to face another early exit I think they need to raise their ranking up to 8 in order to avoid all these bad draws. Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto vs Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen -- likewise, Luluk/Alvent could go out as early as in R32. Q3 vs Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan -- Q3 is likely to be Songphon Anugritayawon/Tesana Panvisvas. Kido/Hendra avoid Koo/Tan, but, they have Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun, Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen, and Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man in the bottom half. Oh, not to mention giant killer like Tadashi Ohtsuka/Keita Masuda The opponent in R16 is either Tan Bin Shen/Ong Soon Hock or Rasmus Andersen/Peter Steffensen. Reasonable draw for WD: Kamilla Augustyn/Nadiezda Kostiucyzk vs Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nur Sugianti -- a tricky draw for Rani/Endang. The winner will face the top-seed Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen in R32. Q2 vs Vita Marissa/Lilyana Natsir -- Vita/Butet will face Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui in R16...expect an explosive match! The winner will entertain possibly the fourth seed Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing. Jo Novita/Greysia Polii vs Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen -- sigh...another Chinese pair in R32...bye bye. Bad draw also for XD: Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa vs Han Sang Hoon/Lee Hyo Jung -- Flandy/Vita face a formidable foe in Han Sang Hoon/Lee Hyo Jung in R32. The winner of the match will face either the recently crowned World Junior Champion, Lim Khim Wah/Mak Hee Chun or Yoo Yeon Seong/Kim Min Jung. Jens Eriksen/Helle Nielsen vs Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir -- the World Champion is off-form and their draw is not too bad, with Chen Hong Ling/Chou Chia-Chi possibly the opponent in R16. However, if Flandy/Vita could clear the first 2 rounds, then the two INA pairs will fight one another for a place in the last 4.
First round,....MS.....LCW VS Boonsak.....tough TH VS BCL .........tough Simon VS PG ..........tough All this tough matches ...makes the tounament exciting...
Lim Khim Wah/Mak Hee Chun cannot play in the XD event. The Koreans are stronger but for Vita/Flandy, their 1st round is much harder, 2nd round is a breeze.
Bad draw for MAS MD, Koo/Tan will probably square off with Choong/Lee at q-finals. Fairuz/Zakry had to make 1st round date against the French Open winners, surely an early exit for them ..... In WS, Wong Mew Choo may face Pi Hongyan/Eriko Hirose in 2nd round, if she passes, Zhu Lin or Zhou Mi is waiting. Julia will face Jiang Yanjiao after a long absence in the Super Series tour. In WD, Wong/Chin expected to square off with Lilyana/Vita. They can only win if Chin's back holds, and that too is a big IF ..... MS is pretty reasonable draw for LCW (despite drawing Boonsak), but he might meet WCH or Sony in the q-finals. Hafiz will be slaughtered by Lin Dan as usual .....
the draws! there r some interesting matches in the 1st round...lee chong wei vs BP, wch VS sony,BCL vs TH n more....
it's a pity that Taufik's rank slipped to 9th for the draw...now facing a possible R1 exit...poor TH.
That is provided LCW is taking part. He might rest his knee and opt out either China or Hong Kong SS. Logically he should be skipping China SS since it's earlier, less time for his knee to heal.
Bad draw for Alroy...in XD, they will meet He Han Bin/Yu Yang In MD, Shen ye and He hanbin....good luck!!
Dont depend on me....hehe..I still owe many pics that I have not uploaded yet but our Kwun will be there..
LCW might skip China Open Source: The Star Online Chong Wei, however, may opt to compete in only one of the last two rounds of the Super Series in China (Nov 20-25) and Hong Kong (Nov 27-Dec 2). “I still need time to recover. It may be wise for me to play in one tournament. I will discuss this with my coach,” he said. ================================================= I think it would be better for LCW to skip the China Open and concentrate on the Hong Kong Open.
