Tanongsak beat Beryno Wong in three sets Tan Chun Seang beat SyEd Akbar in three sets Chong Li Qun beat Saman Ismail in three sets Yogendran beat Cheah Liek Hou in sraight sets Arif won Sairu Amar Ayob beat Chan Kwong Beng in two sets Allan Tai won in three sets Chong Wei Fong won in three sets
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! kokcheng, thanks for the update!!! Chong Li Qun won!! Arif won!!! And other MJs won too! (except for Beryno) May be Beryno didn't use antabax today? LOL!
Beryno.. What happened today *faint* Btw, it's Chong Wei FENG (even though it pronounces like Fong. Haha..)
I am not sure Wong Wai Hong from HKG is the one we usually saw his entries in SS, if he is.. Allan Tai provide the second biggest upset of the day by defeating him 21-16; 21-18 And i noticed Hoon Thien How partner for MD is Tan Wee Kiong Not sure it will be a temporary or permanent partnership Beryno Wong , who upset Kuan, was beaten by Thailand number 3 Tanongsak in 45 minutes in the same day Couple of strange partnership in XD (yannie, don't laugh ) 1. Chong Wei Feng + Ooi Swee Wenn 2. Chong Li Qun + Julia Wong 3. Beryno Wong + Anita Raj Kaur
http://bam.org.my:8080/international2007/upload/results/results.html Full results for day 2 complete with Round 3 results. Beryno & Anita into quaterfinals for XD. Seems some of them are playing 2 categories now a days mmmmmmmm. Nvm.. Tanongsak is good as well. credit to Tanongsak for the good match.
yeah, Allan Tai is ex BAM. discarded in the same batch with Ismail Saman, Sairul Amar Ayob and Ong Ewe Hock. I'm not sure if he was really given the chance to prove himself back then before they downsized the squad. Looks like he's finally back with some hot steam in his engine. watch out anyone in his way. Notable recent results :- 1) This year Kedah Open dragged Yeoh Kay Bin to full rubber sets. 2) I think he took a World Chinese title last year by beating a China Player. Not sure which age category. 15 Nov Matches 11:00 MS Wong Beryno (MAS) Kuan Beng Hong (MAS) 21-15 19-21 21-19 58 minutes 18:00 MXD Wong Beryno+Kaur Anita Raj (MAS) Chong Li Qun+Wong Julia Pei Xian (MAS) 21-19 20-22 21-12 45 minutes 20:40 MS Saensomboonsuk Tanongsak (THA) Wong Beryno (MAS) 18-21 21-13 21-15 45 minutes Well as you can see : Too many hard games in one day + all quality opponents + not being seeded in the draw when you are suppose to be seeded = all just ends up the wrong way. Still.... there's a glimmer of hope in their XD.
Pictures from Alor Star. Kim Wah and Hui Lin at Sentosa Hotel just before leaving to KBA hall for practise. The second photo is Ariff and an upcoming pretty young lass from Tankas club,Indonesia. She took one set from Anita Kaur in R16.Her name is Muthia Puteri Restu.Watch out for her.
Wah..pictures!! Me love! (Sean Kingston style) Thank you kokcheng! Muthia Puteri Restu looks sweet. Love that a-lil-bit shy smile
I saw the young Arif play at the 2007 Singapore Open against Taufik Hidayat. His technique is very sound... and he is fast, very fast. Not surprisingly, he grabbed a game from the maestro (21-16) If I were Arif, I'd work on my blocks (which were rather wayward) and my smashes (for both punch and angle). He appears to be hitting the shuttle when it's right above him... instead of when it's in front of him. Yes, Arif is likely to prove azabaz_ipoh right. He is destined to go places (By the way, how old is Arif?)
Nothing wrong with these.. As expected. Right Erin? Erin's more like Arif big sis.. Why always Erin vs Yannie *faint* Last time I won or you won.. Forgot already.. LMAO!!! P.S. Thx a lot for the pics! They all look cuuuuute!
Yeah nothing surprising. But really make us laugh! Haha! You won. CWF vs Lim Kenn. CWF won! He even laughed at me! Said that he helped you beat me! Grill musang! That Vietnam Veteran #1...cheh. This time Arif must win!! Arif, help me grill yannie!!
That's MJ vs MJ.. Something just popped up on my mind.. LWW/CTF vs Kido/Setiawan.. Right? Erin/Sze Yin beats Mei Ying/Yannie.. Haiya!!!
To Oldhand Dear Oldhand, I agreed with you that Arif is a talent player whom one day will represent my beloved team Malaysia. He has good skills but he needs to improve on his stamina to prevent him from getting cramps and injuries during match. I believe that he will learn from his experiences in the tournament that he participated. From a small boy is my eyes when I saw him play at the age of 14 now he has proved that he one of my future heroes. From: Ayu
