KBH supposed to be preparing for SEA Games. If you look in the list, MS nad MD players participating in SEA Games arent playing in China Open - Tan CS, Chan KB, Gan/Lin, Razif/Khoo.

But XD, senior WS and WD are playing, esp those trying to gather points for Olympics- Khim Wah/Hui Lin (World Junior XD Champs and the recent Alor Setar IC champs), Tan WK/Woon, WMC aka Choo Choo, Wong PT/Chin EH.

We didn't have any full-time XD pairs (at least from BAM), Tan/Woon was our 1st. Now there's a 2nd pair, if they can get into top 16, then we can have 2 XD pairs in Olympics next year.
That's my conclusion looking at the list.

    from the official website.......
Lei Mingji, vice chief judge of this event, also confirmed Taufik's withdrawal, expressing that he had received a mail from Taufik at 7 or 8 p.m. November 19 announcing that he would withdraw from this event, as for the reason, he did not specify in the mail..
It is reported that Bao will take on a player from Thailand in the first round due to Taufik's withdrawal, and Taufik will be imposed a fine of USD 250.

Just came to my mind, how come TH ranked No. 6 will meet BCL in the 1st round?

Also will TH play in HKO? He should be careful, since there is the possibility that SS and Sony getting ahead of him.

So No.9 or 10 is supposed to meet top 5 in the 1st round? That doesn't quite make sense either... Shouldn't it be 1-16 vs. 16-32 in the 1st round?

Hmm, just realized Simon vs. PG and BP vs. LCW are also top 16 fighting each other...

thats the things with this new Super Series tournaments. The first 8 and only the first 8 ranked are seeded. All others are randomly paired.
