I think WMC's win made bigger impact among CHN fans (a few Chinese postings who compared WMC and Tine could imply that) because the title she won was CHINA SS, not japan SS. She was only the second non-Chinese WS winner in the history of China Open. So, we will see ...

WMC now brings so much excitement to the badminton game. Previously it was just LCW now it is her as well. I have to spend more time looking at games ..... taking more of my time.:D;) But it was worth it in the CO FINALS.

Nice translations. Thanks for bringing us other views. It seems like WMC has won over new fans not only for her grit, determination and ability, but for the person that she is. And that says a lot.

Congrats WMC for a truly stirring week of performances :)

    Congratulation to WMC.......
not only she beat XXF but the umpire also.
The CHN empire was simply aweful ... she had never granted WMC's requests to change the shuttlecock and yet granted every single request by XXF - and yet XXF lost. So humiliating!!!!

so happy for wmc to win... to clinch her first Open title..
After this, it will be really really tough for her to won again...
It's not because of her skill or her speed, or anything..
In my opinion... now China will take more serious on WMC... so things like "chen hong walkover for BCL" might happen....
This time.. china player lost, cos (as wat they said) they r tired... next time ... "if" walkover thing happen... will they tired again?
Let's see how many walkover they will 'planned' (maybe) in the following tournament after they realize wmc got the potential to really beat all of the china player and become champion..
I hope wmc won't giv up, keep improving... and even wat tactic(maybe) they use, or no matter how "unfair"(maybe) the referee is, still beaten them , and try to lands as many title as well...
    really congrates to wmc..

Indeed AMAZING !!! Congratulations to WMC.
    She's done a mission impposible.

Yes, that's the point. Winning ONE SS is one thing, but KEEP winning and winning is another thing. Hope she can maintain her performance at the top level like she did for a long long time...

Wong Mew Choo, if you are reading this, I will just say a quick congrats thats all.

It is important for you to focus on the coming HK Open. DO NOT let this China Open win get to your head. Ignore all those bandwagoners who are chanting Malaysia Boleh. You still have a long way to go. Forget about your win yesterday, it is over and done with.

    All the best in HK!

Maybe it's better for her to be female version of LCW than MAS version of Susi. :p ... since we have been talking about how much her game style resembles LCW.

    Malaysia BOLEH...!!!
As much as I wished WMC could repeat the same feat at HK, I seriously doubt so. CHN team (esp the scumbag) will repeatedly read the videotape of WMC again and again. He will come up with some tactics to immune WMC's stubborness on court. Remember Tine when she won the Japan Open 07 by beating 2-3 CHN (ex-CHN) players? Where does she stand now? Not at the podium anymore... I hope it wont happen to our WMC... add oil, ya :)

I am an old man but definitely an ardent badminton-lover. I am not shy to say that when she got her winning point, my eyes went bleary with tears welling inside! Especially when I saw her facial expression when she bagged the title as if she for a while was overcome with unexpected happiness. I thought she was going to cry too!

Good for you WMC! We all love you!

Its true, learn from HH - one time champion !!! Learn from the win, got the monkey off the back, more confidence but still plently of hardwork to stay the top. Set a new goal with much higher expectation, good luck :)
