U will be surprised that 19 out of 30 Gold Medals that Singapore won are from their local born talents
i am a malaysian and i was sad that malaysia lost. I would like to said that Singapore has done well and we should congratulate the winner. it does not matter where the player come from or where they are bred. Malaysian Team especially the women team which consists of mostly young player have tried their best without WMC and Chin Er Hui. To come so close and lost must be a heartache to most of them especially Lydia Cheah who is making her 1st debut in this game. As for the Malaysian Men Team... what can i say exxcept... what happened? anyway Singapore ... congratulation for yr fine performance
for the last question.i agreed. n i do believe singapore can win.being realistic is cool.honourable i think to be down to earth. hope to see the a good game from both team.
thats what i mean, wilfred.some people cant accept the fact. guys n gals, wilfred said the truth.most of singapore's athletes are foreigeners. agree? and i didnt see any statement from him that shows that he downgrading the singapore team. do i have to repeat his simple question in that post? we use foreigeners too.rexy, yuan yu fang etc. the difference is -some of our athletes are foreigners. - most of their atletes are foreigners.agree? so.when wilfred post an info that we have already know, why are u being too emotional? singapore spoilt a good game againts malaysia.did wilfred doubt that? no.hes just telling us that singapore use 'foreign help' in that game.so what is so wrong? wonder why do we have to use 2 pages to discuss about this issue?
im not suprised .at all.they have a well-managed developement association. why are u wondered? they maybe used non-locals as their athletes.but they managed to build them on their own. n their locals?i think they are on the right track now.looking forward to see more singaporeans locals athletes in world tournament.
You mentioned the 'foreign help' thingy. So, I just pointed you some facts. But fine by me, if you want to use another ruler to measure others.
Why is it hard... Many excuses 1. We send the "second" or "third" tier team 2. Tan CS was injured 3. They were too "fresh" for a team events 4. 5. 6.............
now.brother sam.u are turning to pemuda's attitude now.always twisted my words n put the dark side on me. really hard to accept the lost.coz we know we might win if we send the right team.but we choose to send the 2nd team n hoping the rivals to be weaker than us.isnt that ego's stuff?macam malaysia bagus sangat? again, typical advices.but dont u know, taking too much panadols can lead to suicide.n in my last note,i'll include ur name.u are the who suggested this. other ppls, sorry.off topic.but i have to.
Singapore Badminton Association is getting good results Hey koo_fan, Why are we being too emotional? ...... According to what was discussed... we should not use the phrase "foreign help" for the many players in Team Singapore. What is wrong? ...... The players concerned have been residents in Singapore for such a long time now. If you ask them, they will tell you that they are now Singaporeans. How can you say to them, "No, you are only foreigners to Singapore" ? Well, Loh and many others (including myself) have discussed this issue before. It is good that those players and the Singapore Badminton Association have worked together to bring good results now. Others, who are not Singaporeans, should be happy to see such results for them too. So... Well Done to Team Singapore !!! Cheers... chris@ccc
You are moaning about your bruised ego and all. So, take 2 panadols (only 2 ... you know, as in 1,2 ) and go to sleep.
koo_fan, in sports, sometimes u win and sometimes u lose. don't take it too "hard" as you put it. i see that you are only 17, as you grow older, you will learn that in life, you can't win all the time......in school, uni or in business and family matters. cheers!
