Phew, (wipe sweat). CCM/CCE won 17-21, 21-19, 21-12. Louisa, I said the Indonesian give good fight cos the scores in 2nd set were like, 18-16, 18-17, 18-18, 18-19, 19-20, close points all the way. Meanwhile, our back-ups XD Razif/Chong Sook Chin won 1st set against more experienced Japanese Othsuka/Sestsuna (yes the same MD Othsuka). Now leading 8-7 2nd set.
Too bad, Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan lost (as I expect) against the veteran pair Chan Chong Ming/Chew Choon Eng in rubber-sets 21-17, 19-21, 12-21. It was a case of so near but so far....at 19-19 in the second set, they could have nabbed the last 2 pts to win the tie Bona/Ahsan still need more exposure against experienced pairs. Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati also lost in rubber-sets 21-13, 16-21, 16-21 to Goh Liu Ying/Ng Hui Lin. So, INA's hopes in the qualifiers rest on Pia Bernadet Zebadiah and Adriyanti Firdasari.
