i think Rexy should not be blamed for our MD's performance because their opponents were actually strong also. in this competitive event, no one can dominate. even China's and Indonesian's MD also lose sometimes. Moreover, Koo/Tan's opponents Jonas/Lars were actually the world champion of 2003. they've prepared very well for this tournament. and the quality of their play is still very high.

Cheah Soon Kit, I believe is also a good coach. He is born and bred in Malaysia and left BAM not too long ago. I think the problem lies with BAM and the sports administrators.....too many so-called experts running the show and often meddling with the work of professional coaches....something is wrong somewhere....Li Mao leaving, Cheah Soon Kit leaving and now Rexy threatened to leave.....to me they're all good coaches.

Cheah Soon Kit resigned before the Beijing Olympics and left his charges behind. Similarly I can't see why Rexy cannot resign from his job if there is real interference from officals/administrators as alleged by Rexy. Rexy could not possible do a good job if he cannot have a free hand and do what is best for Malaysian badminton. To Rexy, his job is best given to another guy who can bring glory to Malaysia. Malaysia boleh!

Rexy Mainaky cares more for his trainees than for his bosses

    .
After having met Rexy, I can claim to know Rexy's feelings.

Rexy cares more for his trainees than for his bosses. His decision to leave is not induced by his bosses, but by his trainees, IMHO.

In my opinion, Rexy isn't going anywhere
Usually, those who intend to leave will simply resign
Similarly, those who threaten to resign will not leave ;)

Look at the view from his corner:
He has a good thing going for him in Malaysia
Great talent pool, great facilities, great national interest (and, possibly, great remuneration too :p)
It's only natural that these will be accompanied by great expectations

At best, this 'resignation' is a clever move to pre-empt criticism.
The worst that could now happen is for Malaysia to call his bluff

    hmm...

many Malaysians thinking Rexy was unjustified and wrong in wanting to resign...

but Rexy is under a lot of pressure... Ong Soon Hock and Tan Bin Shen quitting, and then all his charges failing, and then he gets put in charge of all doubles...

he is a human you know :)

sad sad news indeed. what the heck is going on in BAM? makes me want to ask all talented players and coach to move to a club, maybe KLRC, and win tournaments just to show BAM that it is not the players and coaches fault but in fact the management failure. maybe that might work. everybody now, move to KLRC. "padan muka" (translation : serves them right) BAM.

When players can't get perform -- blame the coaches; when coach doesn't get any results -- blame the management; when management under pressure -- blame NSC for not supporting enough; NSC -- Blame the government Setups (they are under the govern body too)
Government - blame the peoples -- Did not start playing baddy very often since you are a kids; therefore lack of talent
