Use your hands to hold the camera and the camera strap on your neck all the times. Furthermore its not fun to take picture up there as the temperature is very high due to the Lights. You can sweat even more than a player by just standing up there for 5mins. I had a number of shots from up there. But lazy to post it in the forum.

Let me guess, none of you wear spectacles, otherwise you will not be taking those shots.

I dont wear glasses. Still have perfect eyesight. But there is many photogs that wear glasses while they were taking picture up there.

    You're so lucky Ants.

I'm surprised. Or they tie a string to stop the spectacles falling off.

i wonder what will happen if something fell onto the court while they are taking those pictures. hahahahah. surely the players will get spooked. imagine a pair of glasses falling and incidentally smashed because it fell at the same rate of the shuttle. woh!!! :D

The two on the side look like 300mm. The right hand one looks a bit smaller so that could be the f4 version. The middle one is the 70-200mm 2.8. There might be a teleconvertor on it. I think lurker has deliberately darkened the picture so we can't see.:)

both the sides are using a 300mm 2.8, the middle one is 70-200

a TC is not much help, slow downs the AF and also the effective aperture, plus lower IQ.
I have not seen anyone dared to hold a 400mm 2.8 that way! :D

badminton halls seriously test the high end gears to the max!

Lurker, just wondering. This is actually officially allowed at the venue? Just thinking that what if it'll distract the players .. or if something just drop from the top? Looks dangerous to me.
