Chen Jin (CHN) beats Lee Chong Wei (MAS) 21-18 / 21-18

awesome display by CJ. never letting down his guard throughout the match. funny one finger cheer after he wins though. :)

LCW, not playing at his top form, but at least he didn't give up and tried to mount a comeback at 15-20 which unfortunately was a bit too late.

If Nova/Butet lost, there's no representative from SEA after the shocking and unpredictable lost of MD&MS of MAS

LCW seems tired. But there is no reason why he should be tired...

It was an odd game...LCW played so differently today...compared to the match against Taufik...he played like a beginner today...

Since there is no line judge nor Li YongBo issue(+ injury has been used too many times), the best way to comfort one's heart is to say he is not playing well, not that his opponent beat him.

very disappointed with LCW today....tried to play safe very few smashing just a lot of rallying especially in the 1st game net play wasn't good plus was slow...i mean really slow compared to what I saw against taufik....only showed his true colours at the end of the match when it's too late...what a bad day for M'sia...

good display of sportmanship as usual by LCW, shaking CJ's hand with a smile.

At least LCW shows he is capable of effectively beating TH now, good for his OG camapaign.

Meaning Number 1? He wants to go all the way to win AE 08. Now MS Chn players will really fight without reservation to see who's the best.

Hmm..I really don't know what happened to him..Is he too tired against taufik yesterday???He seem lack of energy in the entire match and did all the silly mistakes.:(I rarely saw his trademark jumping smashes.I feel some other things bothered him.Sigh..Really dissapointed.I am dissapointed enough when our uncles did not win the match despite holding four match points and now...Sigh..:(:(

Well, starting of the second game of LCW, I can sense that LCW was going to lose. No offence to all Chong Wei fan's here as I'm also one of his fan...it's really sad to see him lose. Well, I agree that LCW played too safe...He was very very pasive in that game...Well, is over, hope he will do will in other competition.

LCW let CJ dictate the pace of the match.
He finally figured out he need to change at 15-20 but it was too little too late. The unforced erros ( alot of wide shots) didn't help esp. in game1.

There is nothing wrong with LCW, he played bad, his opponent played better.
Great game tho by CJ. Deserved win.

Actually if I am LYB, I would much rather have Bao vs Chen Jin in the final, as Lin Dan is pretty much guarantee a ticket to OG, whereas Bao and CJ are ranking #3 and #4, extra points will ensure them making it without much risk from being taken over by #5 player and below.

The curse continues. Whoever beats Taufik Hidayat will lose in the next round. This has been the trend.
