So far so good for the World Champion, leading 21-8.

It's a shame... What's the purpose? Both Guo/Xie and Cai/Fu are already qualified, and Cai/Fu's top 2 position is pretty safe. So there can be no "big purpose" behind this walkover.

    Again, such a shame.

Slaughter will be an understatement as Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan progress to the QF after a straight forward 21-8, 21-10 victory over the English pair Robert Blair/Richard Eidestedt.

Psst: It's Team China's luxury to WO u see...so...we as fans...should just accept these WOs as part of the game ;) Accept it and get over with it!

Oh...expect another routine WO again tomorrow. U know which match ;)

U see..Guo Zhendong has a "routine" back injury that props up whenever he encounters Fu/Cai, like in Hong Kong Open 2007. This time, his back injury strikes him again...poor Guo....I hope he recovers soon.

as usual, walkover strategy again from china...they are too scared of losing the MD title. I wonder what excuse they gave this time to the organiser. ? 'injury' again from xie? he played really well with lots of heavy smashes yesterday despite the so-called 'back injury'

You really think HH/YY will get a WO win? The chances of them toppling one of the INA pair out of the top 4 is slim. At best, they'll topple XZ/ZY instead....

During German Open Xie Zhongbo was really injured. His back is a real problem. He is now so slow. But it doesn't mean he can't play.

I talked to him and he is hopeful towards the Olympic Games.
