This doesn't surprise me. I have occasionally been experiencing some very slow load times with the site and sometimes message in the status bar "Transferring data from [site]" has some very suspicious-looking SPAM-style site names. Virus software hasn't complained, though.

I just checked, the site it transfers data from is hhipthr.com. What would that have to do with badminton? The first time in a day that I access it, it nearly hangs my computer. I just got the "virtual memory low" error.

A couple weeks ago, I got hit with a really nasty password-stealing root-kit trojan when I tried to go to the Yumao Club website. Used my plethora of PC security software to remove it, but not without ruining my registry. Had to reinstall windows.

Here's the fun part: got a call from my bank this week that my debit card and PIN had been used to make a fraudulent deposit & withdrawal from my account. Had to go to my branch to get a new account. Not fun.

Same here. I checked current ranking from this site recently & a message poped up asking if I wanted to install or block a small progrom called "ie-le.exe" etc. It was very suspicious & I blocked the installation otherwise it would have been my computer being bombed.
    Take care!

Not sure if it's been hacked, but the site does act suspicious.
My firewall even picked up from the bwf website a suspicious app that wanted to do some keylogging

Now, it practically hangs my computer when it's Transferring data from glasthr.com

The workaround I use is to bookmark the rankings page and never visit the homepage. This seems to work.

    BWF World Ranking page address

    .
    Hi Loopy,

The BWF World Ranking page address that I have been using has no problem with it. Probably because I have bookmarked it?:confused::confused:

Yes, I go to it via my bookmarking. The address is located at:
    http://www.internationalbadminton.org/ranking_ms.asp?id1=1

    Cheers... chris@ccc

I would certainly say that's the reason. I access the site with the basic ranking page but then I can use anything on the site without it grinding to a halt or showing me that it's accessing some obscure, dangerous-sounding website.

I think the problem with the site is limited to the homepage. Possibly the hacking was specific to the new photo gallery or video clip function or something? I'm not sure but it's when the site is opening those that it starts to download from glasthr or hhipthr or whatever.
