Yup..from the article i read yesterday,it says that JXP is currently assigned for the MS coach..男单组教。。

Tang Xianhu was a national junior head coach..but assigned back to help especially developing the MD national team.

Can someone clarify if this is a common and acceptable behavior there once someone reaches the top ? This is not the first time LD behaves this way, regardless if he is in public. Korean Open 2008 and now against his own coach. I dont want to elaborate further and pull the strings. LD is not a thug correct ? What I want to see in Olympics is sportsmanship, not just gold medals.

This is why i am a fan of Lin Dan. he is an awsome player (in my opinion) because he is so dramatic. what other players do u see that do the crazy things that LD does?....... without him people would think badminton is soft because there arent any fights. fights should happen more often in badminton! keeps things interesting!:D in my opinion...

    GO Lin Dan![IMG]

I note with interest that David Liu has all these while stayed away from making 'judgmental' statements on Lin Dan except for now. Lin Dan is fortunate to have a friend in David (a friend in need is a friend in deed).

I believe that for David to come to the 'defence' of Lin Dan, he must have heard enough from the all the horses' mouths and a clearer picture than all of us. I don't think David condones violence or disrespect like most of us but would want us to see/hear some of the things that we folks only get from the media.

Lin Dan apologises but denies hitting coach

BEIJING: China’s badminton world number one Lin Dan has denied striking his coach but apologised for throwing a tantrum that has sparked calls for his dismissal from the Olympic team, according to state media reports.
Lin Dan, 24, allegedly struck coach Ji Xinpeng after losing his cool during a training match last week, prompting a chorus of calls to punish the temperamental star.
“I have apologised, but I never hit anyone,” Lin Dan told Guangzhou’s Southern Metropolis daily on Saturday.
Earlier, several state-run newspapers reported that Lin Dan had hit Xinpeng and that other players and coaches quickly intervened to prevent the 2007 world champion from landing a second blow.
The incident has caused an uproar among badminton fans, with some demanding that the hot-headed star be kicked off the Chinese team.
“The coaching team and chief officials have spoiled Lin Dan. He should have been kicked out of the team earlier,” the China Daily quoted one fan as saying.
Lin Dan only apologised to Xinpeng several days after Tuesday’s fracas and explained that initially he considered the incident a minor one.
“Originally I thought this was a very minor matter. But then it was affecting the reputation of the badminton team so I apologised to the coach,” he said, according to the Southern Metropolis.
Lin Dan is famous for his public spats with reigning Olympic champion Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia. He was also involved in an altercation with South Korea’s Chinese head coach Li Mao in the Korean Open early this year.
In that incident, Lin Dan rushed to Li Mao after a questionable line call and appeared poised to strike the former Chinese coach with his racquet before trainers and team-mates again intervened. – AFP

    before the incident, YES!
    after the incident, ABSOLUTELY NO!

No matter how good your relationship with someone, if there is a dispute, so it isn't good anymore.

Why JXP needs to clarify this issue, if that will have no impact for him?

The clarification from Ji only benefit to Lin Dan, his new "enemy"!

it isn't confirm until now, LD "punch" JXP or only "push".

for sure, Doping is the "evil" in any sports, no comparison at all compare to LD's action.
fighting during the training session was commonly happened in football
