Poland is looking good for a third place in team event right now.
Leading 2-0, just needed another point from either MD or WD :)
Please finish off the match now, NAREL :p

on the website of the danish badminton association it says that the channel tv2 (from denamrk) will send live-tv...so for those who can watch it, have fun..perhaps you can be so kind and upload and share some matches with the other users who dont have "badminton-tv-access" :)
    heres the link: http://www.badminton.dk/EM/TV%20transmission%20fra%20EM.aspx

TV2 always shows a lot of badminton, especially danish league but don't expect to see any of it since you need a subscription to see it ... in fact I can't remember anything ever shared from denmark (except homemade stuff) ;);).

Guess it turned out to be 3-0 after all :):

    Resultater:
    Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter Juhl - Anthony Clark/Donna Kellogg 21-15, 22-24, 21-18
    Joachim Persson - Andrew Smith 21-13, 26-24
    Tine Rasmussen - Tracey Hallam 21-13, 21-8

Kenneth Jonassen pulled out of the final because of something with his achilles but expects to be ready for the individual tourney. Would be something if both PG and KJ were forced to pull out!

Indeed resting for the individual along with Yao Jie and Palyama ... Much more important since it's the last chance to qualify for Beijing ;) (need to reach SF).

    PG is already out.
but... Kenneth Jonassen can't afford to pull out of the European Championships because he's always been a runner up behind Peter Gade... plus this is Jonassen's last chance to go for the European title. And I hope that Jonassen wins this, he deserves it! (mainly because he was always in the shadow of Peter Gade)

Jonassen will be playing - he just wanted to be spared for the "easy" team final so he could performe his best at individuels..

Oh Oh Oh..german youngster dieter domke beats marc zwiebler in straight sets, bjoern joppien lost against ukr player and hopp/overzier lost as well...seems like we have to settle our hope into xu huaiwen and juliane schenk...i think for dieter domke it will be quite hard in the next match...

"En skadet Kenneth Jonassen kommer ikke med i aftenens EM-finale for hold, hvor Danmark møder England.

Danskeren fik et vrid i sin ene akillessene i semifinalen, og landstræner Steen Pedersen har derfor valgt at erstatte ham med Joachim Persson i aftenens finale."

Aah LYB tactics ;). Anyway his road to the final is relatively easy now ...

Old news, not important anymore about why he didn't play in the team final. Anne said just to rest while this says he fik et vrid (got twisted??) his achilles so didn't play just to be safe but if he didn't actually have an "injury" you could call it LYB tactic ;). Doesn't matter since it's a team event so even if there was nothing with his achilles they still have the right to play Persson instead.
So it was just out of precaution.

    Jan Ø. Jørgensen won!!!

OMG - Jan Ø' jorgensen won in men's singles beating Dicky Palyama from the netherlands i 3 games. the last set was encrediblely intense and exciting! jan Ø. came back from lacking from 13-17 and then winning 21-19! wauw - keep an eye on Jan Ø. that's for sure. he'll make it to the top! his play is fast, he takes chances, still get a little bit upset about linejudges errors (but who doesnt), but he is only 20 years, so he has got a lot of good year to come!

best match of the championships so far!

Hopesfully, both of them will be included in Denmark TC Team.
JOJ & MLB could be a surprise package and deliver the winning point , most probably against INA in the semi final

I think Joachim Persson will be the 3rd MS in the important matches. Maybe give the youngsters a game against weaker opponents.

Denmark Thomas Cup team is already announced:
Peter Gade, Kenneth Jonassen, Joachim Persson, Jan Ø. Jørgensen
    Rasmussen/Paaske, Eriksen/Lundgaard, Boe/Mogensen.

If one of the 4 singles players gets injured 2 reserves have been called up: Peter Mikkelsen and Hans-Kristian Vittinghus.
