Am now at Gelang Patah Rest Area, close to Singapore Tuas border. Will only cross over at daybreak.

Italy just scraped a draw vs Romania. Romania missed penalty whereas a legitimate Italy goal was overruled ...

    Ok, back to predictions:

    MS:
Andrew Smith to beat Simon Santoso. Still can't forget his heroics vs Sony in Thomas Cup.
LCW to beat Gade in tough encounter. Should have been the final, will not be surprised if Gade turns the tables.

    WS:
Powerful Tine Rasmussen to beat WS's top endurance player, Wong Mew Choo. But the longer the match, the better WMC's chances.
Zhou Mi to have no problem against talented Saina.
Interesting lineup, 3 of the 4 semifinalists are also 3 of only 4 Super Series WS winners not originating from China.

    MD:
Fuzzy pair to beat Korean 3rd pair to ensure Malaysia takes MD title.
Fuzzy pair's old partners to beat the juniors, and set an ex-partner showdown final.

    WD:
CHN tomboys to beat up KOR girls. Remember the word, Beat Up.
TPE pair to outlast INA girls in battle of endurance.

    XD:
INA World Champs dismiss impressive Thais.
    ENG pair beat the Danes.

    Looks like..

..it has been a slow week for the S'pore Open SS as i'm looking at the threads and there haven't been many posts made in this sub-forum. But thank goodness our chris@ccc has been up and constantly following this tourney:cool:...Along with the local BC's paparazzis taking pics of the actions:cool:...Hmm, perhaps there aren't many top players participating, most likely in preparation for the upcoming Olympics, which is due to start in about 8 weeks; thus the unusually low no. of posts/followers for this tourney...

Notice quite a few lower ranked players playing in this late round, too...

Am now deep in foreign territory, burning time at Singapore's 24 hour mall while waiting for other malls to open in about 90 minutes time.

Matches today start at 2 pm, still more than 5 hours away.

WMC will be giving TR the ultimate fitness test. If TR wins, ZM will lift the title. If WMC wins,WMC more likely to be the champion.
You should have seen how WMC drains her opponents. They will have nothing left for the next match.
