what a SMART GOOD WONDERFUL TVRI today..... TVRI is on a rite track now... hopefully there's still broadcast from the semi,,, go maria,,, 11-3 juast maria can do that.... PHYTON MARIA>>> she is even not jumpin...just take a towel... and said on her face "yeahhh finallt i win'... hihihii
Saina did well in the first game and a half. aside from lacking in fitness, her court movement takes more effort than Maria which took a toll at the end of the game. the main tactical error is for her to keep attacking left and rigth when she is tired. Maria simply need to defend and then Saina either run out of position or gas. even so, i am still imprsesed by the "i will die trying" attitude by Saina. what a treat.
I think the opponent should be betweeb XXF,ZN, LL.... if she can meet ZN again that would be recap from IO 2008 Semi WS.... the different is the level of the opponent in the final ....XXF... hopefully see maria in Final...FINAL!!!!!
During INA Open, saina is planning to train at Djarum for weeks but many players were out for tournaments........
So refreshing to see these two future stars performing. Nehwal has lot of power and Maria has lot of skill. The problem with Nehwal is too one-dimensional and quite predictable, I think Gopi needs to expand her verizon with net play and drops. Maria has excellent wrist strength, every placement is so easy and so natural, still, she need to improve her attacking department in order to fight with the top notch players. I see two bright future stars!
I wonder what the coach said to Maria during interval at 3-11 in the third game or more like what she gave to Maria. I want some too!
It seems despite what I thought the JPN pair are the ones sleeping. Maybe KOR just did an all nighter. 10-2 up so quick.
Saina has the age factor which will benefit her! She will only turn 22 by the time the next Olympic comes....and should be a threat to the Chinese domination. She proves that she can beat Wang Chen. Even Lu Lan and Zhu Lin are already like 21/22 this year. I still remembered watching her play in the Singapore Open 2006 with Loh and others. She was only 16 then, but already starts to impress many Remember, she was also the World Juniors Runner-Up in 2006.
