Maria told her INA friends back home that she is confident she can defeat Zhang Ning... It will be a hard fought match, but after the INA Open win over Zhang Ning, Maria has A LOT of confidence within herself that she can dethrone the reigning Olympic champ...

Some say her chance of winning is 50%. I still think 40%... :D

I will go with Krisna's prediction of 40% (Maria Kristin vs Zhang Ning).

Tomorrow's a big day in the morning (10:00am) and early afternoon (12:00pm).

Maria is a counter-attack specialist... She will make brilliant plays when attacked by agressors like Tine, Saina, and Zhang Ning... Other than her counter-attacks, her other gameplan is to bore her opponent to death with long rallies... :p

Lately, Maria often played many types of shots to confuse her opponents. Her overhead shots are very deceptive. Many badminton experts in INA said her overhead is among the best of any INA-WS in history. Better than Susi Susanti's overheads, surely... Susi's overheads were plain, but sharp and crisply executed...

Maria's footwork is not fantastic. Very so-so... Susi Susanti's footwork, on the other hand, was superb! Susi played like she was walking in the clouds... ;)

They reach 2011 then threw away 6 points before winning 21-17!!
It makes me feel worries specially about Vita's performance.
I'm afraid they would lose if they play like this when they meet aggresiveness of Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung. I Hope their coach will fix this problem.
But anyway thanks to god, AT LEAST INA can take BRONZE medal from mixed doubles..

Thanks for the info:D I can deduce that she is a patient player and I think she can beat ZN tomorrow although I would love to see ZN defend her title:) All the best to Maria ya? :)

That's right. Maria plays with a poker face........... almost no emotional outbursts [ever] from her..... :p You see no arrogance in her, but she is not have the body language of a coward either....

Susi, on the other hand, was like a Tigress... I still remember her stare when I was in a bus with her at the 1996 Uber Cup... She has a HUGE aura of confidence in her....

Won't be the same Hau-ge.... but maybe that's a good thing though. I won't have a heart attack watching Flandy/Vita wasted 6 match points! :D
