    Now that the 2011 China Masters and the 2011 Belgian International tournaments are over (their Finals being played just a few hours ago), we shall move to the 2011 Japan Open SS.

    On Day 1 Tuesday 20-September-2011, we have Qualification Rounds;

    Let's follow these players at the Qualification Rounds;

    Mens Singles:
    * Takuma UEDA [1] (JPN)
    * Anand PAWAR [2] (IND)
    * HSUEH Hsuan Yi [3] (TPE)
    * Suppanyu AVIHINGSANON [4] (THA)

    Womens Singles:
    * Maria Febe KUSUMASTUTI [1] (INA)
    * CHAN Tsz Ka [2] (HKG)
    * Kaori IMABEPPU [3] (JPN)
    * PAI Hsiao Ma [4] (TPE)

    The draw of matches can be found located at;
    http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=94C74A61-90D9-4DDA-AA73-934C55FD6196

    For time in Japan;
    http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_JP.aspx

    Some Doubles pairs hoping to qualify should also be noted as well; But running out of time while creating this thread, I hope that our BCers can introduce the Doubles pairs later.

    Who do you think would make it into the Main Draws? . :):):)

    For men's, all four are equal chances, none of them outstanding.

    For women's, my bet is on Hsiao Ma Pai.

    Are you sure? In Hsiao Ma's pool, we have;

    * POON Lok Yan (HKG)

    * Nozomi OKUHARA (JPN)

    * Nichaon JINDAPON (THA)

    IMHO, they are all just as strong. :):):)

    Looking at tournamentsoftware, it seems that Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang withdrawn while Zhang Nan/Zhao Yun Lei is still in.

    Febe promoted to main draw because Carolina Marin withdrawn.

    Boonsak still in despite being reported in badzine that he is injured last week at Thailand local tournament

    This year's Japan Open is a challege to Nozomi's stamina. :D She had just finished the All Japan Junior Championship yesterday. The tournament was held from 16-19 Sept. Right away, she has to fly from Niigata to Tokyo!

    This is what I like about Jpn SS

    They use 6 courts and all of the umpire seems professional based on TS stats, they're not just put winner shots in uncorrect places...

    Kudos !!!!

    Very sad.

    The lost is probably due to Jang's weakness.

    No wonder, Japan Open always fully packed with A list players ;)
    30th anniversary of this tourney, wow!

    Yeah, after being semifinalist in Taipei, SDK failed to enter main draw here. He still needs more time to find his top-form, good luck next week in Samarinda :)

    Hey, haven't seen you in BC for a long time.
    The poor girl had, in addition, to play a XD match this morning too. But her calf muscles are so huge that all she needs is a little effort and she'll float around on the court.
    My, she just thrashed PHM 21-9 in the rubber!
