Daren Liew - Zulfadli Zulkifli showdown should be fun to watch.

I think the WS title is Tai TY's to lose. In her half of the draw, maybe only YipPY can pose any challenge. In the bottom half, I expect Lindaweni to go thru to the final instead of Gu Juan, esp after watching how the former played Han Li a couple days ago.

The MS is likely to be contested between Hu Yun and Nguyen TM, the lone Viet warrior.

whats consistent about the new batch of Malaysian players is; they might be able to beat a seeded player in the earlier rounds.. but seems to run out of gas after that .. no matter who, how good or how bad the opponent is...

I am quite disappointed actually, I think its more because Chooi KM isn't very good.

MAS 'four' Chong Wei Feng, Liew Daren, Arif and Iskandar check in to 3rd round, but tmr maybe only one of them will go QF...

    MS R16
Chu Han Chou vs Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo - it's good to see Wisnu progressing beyond the first round of GPG event. He has the chance of progressing to the QF today.

Mohd Arif Abdul Latif vs Tommy Sugiarto [4] - another tough match in store for Tommy. Arif nearly beat Hayom last week, while Tommy is not exactly in good form recently. Still, I expect Tommy to progress.

    WS R16
    Tai Tzu Ying
[1] vs Maziyyah Nadhir - the top seed to progress.

Hera Desi [7] vs Hung Shih Han - Hera Desi to fulfill her seeding.

Lindaweni Fanetri vs Tee Jing Yee [8] - Linda to continue her good form. If she can progress to QF, she will be back in the top 50.

    MD R16
    Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro
[1] vs Mohd Lutfi Zaim Abdul Khalid/Teo Kok Siang - this will be a tricky tie for the top-seed and nothing less than a title will be considered a satisfactory result this week!

Markis Kido/Alvent Yulianto Chandra vs Wang Chi Lin/Wu Hsiao Lin - the TPE promising juniors who should win a medal in the upcoming WJC to be given a learning lesson by INA's senior pair.

Nelson Heg/Teo Ee Yi vs Muhd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi [4] - hopefully, Ulin/Ricky could fulfill their seeding or maybe even reach the Final.

    WD R16
    Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari
[1] vs Gebby Ristiyani Imawan/Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah - the top-seed from Singapore should take this one.

Suci Rizki Andini/Della Destiara Haris [4] vs Chin Ee Hui/Lim Yin Loo - Suci/Della are hoping to fulfill their seeding this week. A tricky first match awaits them today.

Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizki Amelia Pradipta vs Poon Lok Yan/Tze Ying Suet [2] - it will be an excellent result if Pia/Rizki could upset the second-seed.

    XD R16
Muhd Rijal/Debby Susanto [1] vs Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth - I think Kido/Pia could rise to be INA's no 2 XD pair, in particular for the Sudirman Cup next year.

Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita [4] vs Wong Wai Hong/Shek Hiu Yiu - meanwhile, Riky/Richi should rise up to be INA's no 3 XD pair and they should fulfill their seeding.

Lee Chun Hei/Chau Hoi Wah vs Irfan Fadhilah/Weni Anggraini [3] - Irfan/Weni are not exactly in good form recently as well but I still expect them to progress to at least QF.

Again, Irfan/Weni lost in the first-round, confirming that they are really in a bad form.
