What a year 2017 has been for the pair! 7 titles, including the major ones like the All-England Open and the BWF Superseries Finals in the bag. Next year will be the real test for them, starting with the defense of their All-England title, the Thomas Cup (preliminary rounds and Finals), the World Championships, and Asian Games up for grabs. As long as they can secure the World Championships and Asian Games Individual Event Gold Medal next year, it will be an even more fantastic year for them! Winning the BCA Indonesia Open in front of the home crowd will be a bonus & defending the 7 titles will be very tough.
Amazing achievement in 2017, and I'm impressed that they won dubai ss finals after that lost to kamura/sonoda in group stage. I feel like the playing condition and the slow shuttle in dubai didn't really suit their playing style, yet in the end they still win it. Now waiting for major achievement for them next year, they already proved it at SS level, not yet in big events.
Lets just enjoy it. Whats the point of putting pressure in defending the titles? I dont think they really think too much about all those. Just play the best tournament at a time. Men's Double are really taxing in mind so no point thinking too much. I wish they win either one Indonesia Open/AsianGames though.Any one will do because even Lee/Yoo lost in their home nation during AG2014. Winning at home is one of the toughest, imo. I wonder if they have a made a million dollar this year? + bonueses and contracts, salaries, adverts etc. Its a Lot for Asian.
