Z-slash has a small sweet spot so you have to put a lot of practice in to be able to use it. It is basically an oval frame. If you aren't getting on with it I would consider selling it and buying an new isometric. They have larger sweet spots.

Agree. The Z-Slash is an un-forgiving racket due to smaller sweet spot. Give it some time (practice, drill, etc) you should feel the situation gets improved. However, depends on your skill level, whether it will meet your expectation, I am not sure.

Personally, I consider drill practice is a better way (compare to game play) to adjust to a racket, as you can repeat the same stroke, and make adjustment accordingly. There are way too many other variables for game plan, usually not an accurate way to evaluate a new racket.

    ruffdog64,

Don't give up on her. Yes, she has a smaller sweet spot BUT once you hit it square on you'll be amaze of the shuttle speed! I've 2 of her and use them regularly amongst others.

My Z's are strung at 21ilbs and have no issue on power or speed.

that is a warranty limit, not a 'factory recommendation'.
