..as far as i know and checked, there is no registration form yet for the 2010 U.S. Open; at least from the OCBC website. Which means, no one knows who will participate..

..roughly 2 yrs removed and your wish has come to fruition for the U.S. Open becoming a GP Gold tourney..

btw, can kwun/mods switch the dates of the Canada Open and U.S. Open around for this sub-forum header (Canada Open goes first and U.S. Open follows)-thx..

I want to come too. But from what I heard you need to buy tickets at the door, so there is no advance ticket sale or online sale. Is that true? It may be difficult to buy tickets for semis or finals.

..as far as i recall, the last 8 U.S. Open tourneys have never had any sold out days (even Semis or Finals and yes, even last yr when Taufik came; well, it was close to a full house). Unless they invite Lin Dan, LCW and all the top players/pairs to come..
So, you'll have a chance to buy your Semis and Finals (or any other days' actions) tix right at the spot (yes, unfortunately no online or advance purchases)..
IMO, getting the season's pass is quite worth it (if one can make it the whole week or even the last 3 days), esp. if they have pretty good competition/players..

..no words of him cancelling despite him welcoming another baby; plus he's also playing in the Canada Open, a week before the U.S. Open..if he doesn't train up, he might be rusty and if there are some decent MS players coming to the U.S. Open, who knows, Taufik might lose his title..

US Open is off to a great start!

300 players from 33 countries entered.

Every event has at least one top ten player/team. Men's Doubles event is loaded. More info to come.

Tickets go on sale July 1st at the Orange County Badminton Club. You can also purchase will call tickets by e-mail at info@ocbadmintonclub.com. Please include:

Telephone number
Name on credit card (must match name)
Credit card type
Credit card number
Expiration date

A confirmation e-mail will be returned to you with a scanned copy of your credit card charge. Please bring the receipt with a photo ID matching the name on the credit card to pick up your will call tickets. No refunds on tickets purchased including will call tickets.

It is advised for Friday and Saturday to buy your tickets in advance or will call tickets to avoid the wait in line.

any idea when the tournament software site will be updated for the 2010 US Open?

 

300 players and 33 countries?!?!..that's nearly double from last yr's attendance..

tournamentsoftware should update the tournament's info in a week or couple weeks or so..stay tuned..

 

Too bad that Kido/hendra, Vita are not coming..they will go to Macau instead..
Been told that most players participate in Canada and US Open will skip Macau but will attend Taipeh like TH and its Taiwanese players

 

Entry list is published...great to see Polish XD and nathan/wallwork in the list as well as Tine ramussen ( she cancelled last year)
and Zhu Lin is in qualifying...
