LCW is probably fooling everyone with his lethargy to take pressure of himself.

Would not be surprised if he wins this MO now.;)

    Great....the results is now updated.

Wow.......LCW is really on fire now. I think he should be able to beat Boonsak.

Good job from Roslin, see what he can do against LD.

It will be a good match between PG and ChenJin tomorrow.

So sorry to Julia.......but she did gave a good fight in set 2.

Here are the updates from the matches in the late evening and night.

    MS ROUND 1/16:
Lin Dan bt Beryno Wong 21-12, 21-14

Chan Yan Kit lost to Mohd Roslin Hashim 17-21, 12-21 -- tough match against Lin Dan tomorrow.

Peter Gade bt Poompat Sapkulchananart 21-15, 21-16 -- matches against Chen Jin and Lin Dan coming up for the Danes.

Chen Jin bt Andrew Smith 21-6, 21-10

Roman Spitko bt Arvind Bhat 21-14, 21-17 -- it has been a good tournament for the German.

Ng Wei lost to Lee Hyun Il 9-21, 10-21

Boonsak Ponsana bt Chen Hong 21-17, 21-14 -- wow...the upset of the night....first time Boonsak beat a Chinese player perhaps?

Eric Pang lost to Lee Chong Wei 13-21, 7-21 -- with Chen Hong gone, it makes life easier for the local favorite to retain his title. He should beat Boonsak yet again tomorrow.

    WS ROUND 1/16
Zhang Ning bt Adrianti Firdasari 21-9, 21-17 -- a good effort by Firda in the second set

Yao Jie bt Julia Wong Pei Xian 21-12, 15-21, 21-8 -- this time, Yao prevails.

Wang Chen bt Tine Rasmussen 13-21, 21-19, 21-14

Jiang Yanjiao bt Ella Karachkova 21-6, 21-18

Wang Lin lost to Tracey Hallam 15-21, 21-19, 9-21 -- a welcome shock as the young Chinese lost to the experienced English player.

Fransisca Ratnasari lost to Pi Hongyan 17-21, 20-22 -- two tight sets...really good effort by Nana. Overall, both gals have performed well in the Malaysian Open, winning their first round match and losing respectably to the top players.

Lee Hyun Jin bt Julianne Schenk 17-21, 21-19, 21-16

Sutheaswari Mudukasan lost to Xie Xingfang 21-23, 21-23 -- Xie struggled to beat the Malaysian player. She was also stretched to 3 sets in the earlier round.

    WD ROUND 1/16
Gao Ling/Huang Sui bt Sabrina Chong Sook Chin/Lim Yin Loo 21-4, 21-8

    Saralee Thoungthongkam/Sathinee Jankrajangwong bt Lena Frier-Kristensen/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl 26-24, 10-21, 21-19

Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui bt Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nur Sugianti 22-20, 21-14 -- tough luck for Rani/Endang as they have to face Wong/Chin so early.

Pan Pan/Tian Qing bt Mooi Hing Yau/See Phui Leng 21-10, 21-10 -- yet another upcoming force in WD from China..yawn...

    Ikue Tatani/Aya Wakisaka bt Nichole Grether/Juliane Schenk 19-21, 21-12, 21-16

Haw Chiou Hwee/Anita Raj Kaur lost to Du Jing/Yu Yang 6-21, 5-21

Duang-Anong Arunkesorn/Kunchala Voravitchitchaikul bt Mette Schjoldager/Britta Andersen 21-17, 20-22, 21-15 -- both Danish pairs lost to Thai opponents today...

Shinta Mulia Sari/Vanessa Neo Yu Yan lost to Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung 10-21, 10-21

    awww, that's mean...

By the way, there are at least 4 pairs of Malaysian players are moving in to the quarter final... I do hope two or one of them will make it to the final n get the Malaysia title back for the kuching's crowd... I really want to celebrate this glorious moment... It had been a terrible draught for Malaysian Players, but no longer anymore

    MD ROUND 1/16:
Goh Ying Jin/Mohd Razif Abdul Rahman lost to Thomas Sanave/Rupesh Kumar 17-21, 19-21

Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Lin Woon Fui bt Au Kok Leong/Chan Hun Ping 21-15, 21-8

Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah bt Sun Junjie/Xu Chen 21-18, 21-18 -- a laboured performance from the veteran Malaysian pair. They will face Jung/Lee next.

Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae bt Sudket Prapakamol/Phattapol Ngernsrisuk 16-21, 15-21

Hoon Thien How/Tan Boon Heong lost to Chew Choon Eng/Hong Chieng Hun 25-23, 21-12 -- too bad, the young Malaysian pair lost to the scratch pair.

Svetoslav Stoyanov/Mihail Popov lost to Chan Choong Ming/Koo Kien Keat 16-21, 20-22 -- also not a very convincing performance from the Malaysian no 1 pair.

Albertus Susanto Njoto/Yohan Wiratama Hadikusumo lost to Gan Teik Chai/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif 18-21, 21-18, 18-21 -- 3 tight sets...once again the HK pair has proven that they are no pushover. They should be in the top 20 soon.

Hwang Ji Man/Jung Tae Kuk lost to Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun 16-21, 10-21
