Today is totally not LCW day. Pressure from supporters might a little bit make LCW lost his focus but , LD was totally fast like a lightning. There are like 4-5 LDs on the court all shuttles are replied with perfection. I assume LD must have trained very very hard after his humble lost to LCW during the Thomas Cup and he is 200% ready for this clash.Sigh...LCW should not give the warning to LD too early. He should just lost the point during Thomas Cup, after all his win didn't bring Msia to the Final of Thomas Cup too ;)
For the conclusion, congrats to LD and LCW too. LCW should not feel sorry to not getting the gold, as he already tried his best. Hope he will be back stronger. LCW Boleh! LD Congratulations.....You are still the invincible MS in this world.

That's all you can say after all the relentless support from us? No free T-shirt?

    hmm

even if u placed any player to vs lin dan today.i dont believe
    lin dan will lose either.

no need to wait for the next tournament already..
lin dan is already an olympic champion and this is history.

Apparently Lin Dan gave the most dominating performance of the century... He defeated Lee Chong Wei with such dominance! And LCW is no small-pushover... he is probably the strongest competitor on the planet. But Lin Dan showed us all what a supremely great all-round athlete he is... I can't say INA or KOR or MAS or DEN deserve to get MS gold this Olympics. CHN [Lin Dan] truly deserve this one... :D

wow 300K is a pretty good incentive and a good pension initiative. With other endorsements, can retire soon. I think LCW can still try to qualify for the next one if he wants to. Similar to WCH lah.

I had that feeling when I saw LYB smile when Zhang Ning was a point away from winning her 2nd Gold medal. He looked human, for the first time ever... and I actually felt genuinely happy for him.

Btw, now that LD has won virtually every single major title, will he still have the motivation to keep on playing? or will the baton now pass to Chenjin, Luyi and other chinese youngsters? what do people think?

    Off topic :
Wushu is exhibition sport this OG. Got medal to contend for but not in official tally, whatever that means. Dunno what type medal they will get. Our exponents will be contesting from 21 AUg.
We have lady world champ in one of the categories & she's only 21 this year.
;) Hopefully Wushu will become official before she gets old & grey :p

Now to do my usual duty...........

Yea so much for match of the century....the situation put forth certainly made it seem like it was going to be the match of the century though. Number one and two in the world going head-to-head in the Olympic Badminton Men's Singles Gold Medal Match. What more could you ask for. I'm still shocked by Lin Dan's superior performance. Imagine how he's feeling right now, knowing he just dominated the whole match.

From the PHILIPPINES, so long my friends in badminton!!! Let's make known to those olympic officials that badminton is alive and popular worldwide! They should include badminton in the 2012 OG!! In the Philippines, badminton is making a comeback, badminton courts here are always full during peak hours! See you all in future badminton tournaments! :);)

Does anyone actually know how much money the gold medalists get? And also how much is China giving Lin Dan?
