An interesting match between Chen Yufei and Pai Yu Po. Good technical skills between both players.

It will be an upset if Zhang/Li boot out so quickly from this tourney.

R1 jitters, CYF ? Inexperience and self-induced pressure. Good to see Zhang Ning coaching

Just curious, why is Pai Yu Po playing here but TTY opted not to. PYP not eligible to play in the Uni games?

CYF looks a bit stiff, playing mostly safe shots, still young at 19, can afford to be adventurous and experiment more

    What's happening in G3 to Sumeet/Ponappa ? A lop-sided score, 21-5, won by Huang/Wang

CYF begin to get a grip on what to do while PYP commits mistakes.

Drifted away from the tussle like a champ, big event hiccups couldn't stand a chance when she was warmed up

Well I think we can also turn the question around, why did Tai Tzu Ying choose uni games over World Championships.

Edit: Funny, the commentator just mentioned it. He said Tai was contracted to play the Uni games. So I guess it's just unfortunate schedule that they are being held at the same time.

Sorry, who's the co-commentator with Steen, he sounds familiar, I just can't recall his name?

Well she's 26+ now born April 1991, she might have done with her academics and hence not part of any University atm.

Contracted ? That means she's legally bound, obliged, arranged by her organization, not up to her.
