    TO REGISTER:
    Please do ONLY ONE of the following,
    1. Sign up at http://www.studentgroups.ucla.edu/UCLABadminton/bo2007entry_form.html and mail the fee to the address below.
    2. Mail both the entry form and the fee to the address below.


    VENUE: Student Activities Center Gym and Pardee Gym (John Wooden Center). Measures have been taken to minimize glare. Campus map and directions are available at http://www.recreation.ucla.edu/recreate/facilities.aspx. Daily parking permits ($8) are available at kiosks located at most campus entrances. Parking lot 4 (entrance from Sunset Blvd.) is the closest to the gym.

    EVENTS: Funky, B, C, D flights; MIXED and DOUBLES events with consolation. All matches, 3x21 format rally scoring.

    FEES: $15 for first event, $12 for the second event, and $10 for the third. Late entries will be charged $5 extra. Each participant receives one FREE raffle ticket per registered event and also receives a FREE T-shirt for registering in 2 or more events.

    SHUTTLECOCKS: Two feather shuttlecocks provided per match. Please bring your own additional shuttlecocks.

    ENTRY: Maximum 3 events. One must play at the level of the higher ranked player (i.e. C/D team must play in C or higher). We reserve the right to make any necessary changes. All entries due October 15. No refunds after October 15.

    Each player must fill an entry form.

    SCHEDULE: Saturday: Mixed and early rounds of Funky, B, C, and D doubles. Sunday: Doubles. Warm-ups start at 9 a.m. Matches start at 9:30 a.m. on both days. More detailed schedule information will be posted on our website as soon as it is available. Court warm-ups limited to 5 minutes. 10-minute default rule STRICTLY enforced.

    AWARDS: $100 for Funky winner, $50 for Funky runner-up team. Trophies and medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and Consolation winners.

    RAFFLE: Conducted throughout Saturday. Prizes include racket bags, T-shirts, tubes of shuttlecocks, strings, and grips.

    FOOD: Cold drinks and snacks will be sold on site. Campus restaurants should also be open.

    correction: looks like they're doing online entries only. probably more efficient for everyone anyway

    Pardon the ignorance, but when did the Bruins start having badminton events? This is very interesting. I took some subjects in UCLA eons ago

    yes, it's the same weekend. so if you're in socal, go to the bruin open, if in norcal, davis open :D:D:D.
