Anyway, it's already quite something that, at age 34, Lin Dan is in the final of the All England, just as it is for the World Championships last year.

Well hasn't SYQ done just that today and throughout this AE. Very impressive, but I hope this isn't just a flash in the pan and he can keep this level of play up.

Well, LCW did reach OG final and the last three WC final in a row when he was 34/35.

Shi Yuqi demonstrated fantastic stroke-play which I had believed had gone extinct in MS badminton. Plays with the creativity and steadiness of one Sun Jun, possibly since Sun Jun is the head coach of Jiangsu, where SYQ is from.

Best done away with in my opinion. Players were holding so much it's crazy.

Actually, most of the odds are in Shi Yuqi's favour - it's the final , the 5th match in a row for Lin Dan , the big age gap in his favour, his superior fitness - and he capitalized on it.

I think SYQ will surpass Axelsen soon, he already beat Ax in SSF Group but then had footpain or something hence lost in the KO-stage rematch

And now we talk about Chong Wei again. *sigh* Hoping he has his sights on either WC or AG that's why he didn't push himself to the limit in this All England.

LCW pushed himself to the limit against LD. Just his style is doesn't mesh well against the rally type LD.
    SYQ on the other hand...
